Writer's Strike Thread

It's funny to me how always picks the most crucial and important of times to make the biggest, boldest mistakes.

He never fails to completely astound me and bottle my mind.

This feels like the end to me. It feels like the ship is going down and the captain is just grabbing onto anything he can to stay afloat.

And the most horrible part is, is that he's grabbing all the wrong parts of the ship.

Why do I see KC and DH playing instruments on the deck of the ship as it sinks?

I don't know......

But.....it's what he deserves. If it did go down, I would truly hate that his horrible buisness sense got hundreds of people fired, but it would prove that he needs to go back to making that horrible synthesized music and leave the daytime business alone.

And take that hack bitch with him.

I wish Stefano could kidnap her and implant memories into her making heer think she was a good writer....

And make her think she was Roman Brady.......and Forrest Alamain......and Romulus.......and Father John........and MLK......and Malcom X........and Hillary......and Barack Obama.....and so on, and so on, and so on......

He never fails to completely astound me and boggle my mind. If the behind-the-scenes staff is in total disarray, it's eventually going to translate on-screen and it's just going to be a total disaster. Bad, bad timing for a shakeup like this. March is less than a month away.

Exactly, Kenny! March is next month, and all hell breaks loose at the worst time. He has this mess to deal with along with negotiating with NBC. I bet he's getting no sleep right now. And where the hell are his advisors? Does he even have one intelligent person on his team to say, "Ken, don't fire these writers now. At least wait until the strike is over before making this decision." Or, "Ken, do not hire a scab writer as your Head Writer. [Allegedly] That is a huge mistake." Did anyone tell him that????

I thought Ed Scott wad brought to DAYS to be the voice of reason on the show, but it's pretty obvious he's only relegated to physically producing the show. Corday probably doesn't give two shits about what Scott has to say.

Corday just keeps on digging his show its grave....

1. What use is it to have advisors if you're not going to listen to them?

2. What has he done that proves he knows what he's doing?

There is no way i would advise him to do a single thing. I'm going to need that breath on my deathbed to ask God for forgiveness.

Ken Corday has buried this show, and he needs to heep the lion's share of the blame for it.

This is what happens when you inherit a show rather than earn a show.

Just because his parents had the level-headed business sense to create a success, it doesn't mean Corday was groomed properly to follow in their footsteps. Hell, my father was an auto parts factory worker for years. That doesn't mean this fag could just jump in there and take his place when he croaks -- at least not successfully.

I almost hope it's cancelled, just so I can write a him a five page letter in giant, bold text that reads "LOOK WHAT YOU DID, DUMBASS."

Everyone except Ed Scott and Hogan are probably Corday's lackeys. Thats probably what Steve Wyman was too(but he got fired, probably by Sony rather than Corday), and Dena Higley is no doubt a Corday lackey too. I think almost everyone on Days besides the people mentioned are people who say "GREAT idea, Ken!" to whatever Corday thinks Days should do.

Well, this is what the Variety article says regarding the force majeure:

Industry sources also report that the WGA contract reached with the majors is expected to include a provision that will allow scribes who were force majeured from ongoing series to return to their old jobs. Insiders cautioned, however, that some issues regarding that deal point are still being worked out by guild and studio lawyers. The contract does not address those who were force majeured from overall deals and other contracts if they were not working on a series that will resume production.

If that provision is true that means Sheffer and co. are still DAYS writers and they should now work along with *the writer* who of course could be ousted as a scab any day. And I think the only way Corday can get rid of Sheffer again is buy out the rest of his contract which is reportedly on of the best. Not good at all. I hope Corday sucks it up and lets Sheffer back because otherwise he could be very well making a business suiccide.

Oh great, now the other shows get the keep the hacks they might have ousted due to the strike.:angry:

All contracts have cycles, I wouldn't put it passsed corday to fire Hogan once his next cycle is up, since its obvious Coday doesn't want him there.
