I'm loving the chemistry between Dusty and Lily too and really hope they do actually pursue that. I'm enjoying that story too.

Carly is just breaking my heart! Jack continues to be a Jackass and is going to have some major groveling to do when he learns what has been going on and what a jerk he has been. I can't wait! He'll be saying Fluffy who? Loved watching the "real" wedding with the "real" Jack.

I too am really loving the job Austin is doing as Brad! Originally when I saw a dramatic scene with Katie, I didn't think he could pull off drama but I am really impressed with the job he is doing with this and I am really feeling his emotions!

Good scenes today with Luke and Noah. Van has been terrific and I think he is still carrying the bulk of that story.

Could definitely have done without Fluffy and Vienna. I loved Vienna until her only purpose became to prop Katie. Now I see no point to her.

Finally saw the show on CBS.com. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....it took a while though. So much buffering....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....I saw the Nuke scenes on youtube. But to see the rest I went to CBS.com and it took forever....LOL It kept stopping and rebuffing every 5 minutes or so...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Another great show!!! Tomorrow...ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...Paul is on...I cant stand him.

Mostly i only watch the Nuke and Maddie scenes but today i wacthed everything but Katie&company. Today had some of the best acting i've seen in a while. The guy who plays Noah's dad is doing a AMAZING job making his character into a nutjob without becoming a cartoon which often happens with soap villians. I agree it's a bad sign for Noah to end up without any family. Hopefully they'll connect him to some other character ,but when it comes right down to it Van/Luke is the star of this couple and mark my words he's going to become a BIG star tv or movies!

LMAO! I watch only Luke and Noah's storyline on YouTube. I've been watching everything since Noah first debuted, so I'm getting caught up on the back story.

But, you're right. Sometimes, the YouTube person doesn't upload until late, so I tried to watch on CBS.com when I know it's a Luke and Noah day -- but all that damn buffering made me sick... especially since I'm not trying to watch ALL of World Turns, just the L&N stuff. So, I'm sticking with YouTube. LukeVanFan does an extraordinary job, so it's worth the wait.

I had no trouble watching the Nuke scenes on youtube. No rebuffing...blah....LOL. LukeVanFan is a member of Van's board. He says it takes him a while to upload the Luke and Noah scenes on youtube because it is so slow(youtube). But once he has it up...I speed right through their scenes. He usually has it up before 5 pm central time. But CBS.com....ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh....I was going nuts with it...LOL. I wanted to see the Carly scenes and it took longer to see those scenes than the Luke and Noah on youtube...LOL.

Seriously, I hope I laugh myself sick. It'd be worth it, after suffering through Carjack's break up, Carly/Simon, Carly's departure, and Kack, with a side helping of Kack berating Carly almost day in and out for the past four months.

Boy, it broke my heart to see Carly trying to lie to Brad about her illness, then tell him about have a flash of Katie playing mother to Sage on her wedding day. Sigh....Montana.

If you are talking about the dark coloring with the camera shots, I would have to disagree on that alittle. But if you mean the way they shoot the shots of each scene, I can agree somewhat.

The dark color takes away from seeing facial expressions clearly; it also just takes away from the whole episode when you have some shot being clear and crisp, and other scenes all dark and harsh. But that's just my opinion. :)

FYI - I watch a lot on CBS.com and right above where the screen that says innertube, there is player settings...here you can choose either Windows Media Player or REAL player. Pick real player, and then when the show is starting on the CBS window, move your cursor to the upper left hand corner of the screen in the window - it will show an icon for the Real player (sometimes you have to click in the screen first) and click on the icon (if you hover your mouse over it, it will say Play in RealPlayer) and it will open it in the real player - instead of the internet explorer window... for some reason, you dont have to deal with as much buffering - or you can pause it and let it buffer the whole thing and then watch! plus it makes it easier to skip around from section to section!

Hope that helps!

I do not understand what happens to TPTB at ATWT. We go for months with not great stuff, and then they shine for a brief period, then back to yuck. This happened last year as well. I thought the serial killer storyline went into high gear and got really good near the end last year, all the right notes were being hit. It was a plot driven storyline, but the reveals led to character moments that mattered.

I am following the Luke/Naoh storyline the most, and then Carly. Peck was excellent as Brad yesterday. I am shocked at how much he has grown at ATWT. Maddie's scenes with Noah and Luke the last couple of days have been excellent. I loved the attempt at natural lighting in the diner, like the lights were coming through the blinds on the windows. Some of the new camera work is off for me, but that stuff was nice.

I am sad for the character of Noah. He will lose everything, but maybe he will find himself. The writing shows some promise right now, so I hope that storyline will play well.

Carly is breaking my heart. The bathtub scene was powerful, then to understand that Katie is going to be the mother of her children. All this stuff is so plot driven, but the writing has been pretty near perfect the last couple of days.

This would be the perfect time to bring back Dr. Ben. After all he was the resident brain surgeon at Memorial, but alas I think Carly's illness will bring Dr. Chris Huges back to JokeDale, even though when he left he was going to be specializing in Pediatrics.

    • I think Steve and Shawn track down Kevin and Jeffrey gives them one dose on the sly in exchange for keeping it quiet. John's organs will go to Bo. We know he's not really coming home. Xander won't make the board meeting so EJ will get the hospital by default. And Kate will tell Xander that Sarah lied to him precisely because she feared he would do something like this to Philip  Those are my Friday predictions! Was a good show. I felt Philip's fear in that last scene.

I guess Susan was necessary today, but I really wish she’d leave. Marlena putting EJ on blast about Belle was pretty good though, and I hope they continue to use Marlena in their storyline. I’m interested in seeing what happens to EJelle in the aftermath of the John storyline. And I really wish we were seeing Paul and Andrew moving in on John’s location. If they can’t get Christopher Sean on the show, they should at least try to get Colton Little.  I liked how smart Xander was today and that he immediately that Philip stole the drug. He did a pretty good job in his scenes where he confronted Philip as well. I also appreciate the way that Philip’s been written lately; more like a tragic hero than a bratty, goofy clown. Which is all the more reason that I hope the triangle with Stephanie and Alex is revived. But Xander did seem a little overly melodramatic in his last scene though And, I can’t help but think that Dr. Russell being so hesitant about involving the police in the drug theft could be a sign of something.
    • I haven’t watched since Daisy’s last episode. Part of me feels like its a good place to end it because outside of The Platt’s, Tracy, Todd, and Carla and Swain I haven’t really enjoyed the show. Too many depressing stories and irksome characters, I especially hate what they’re doing to Debbie. I do think its funny they spent all this time investing into that awful new family and apparently they’ve already been canned, feedback must have been horrid.
    • I think the pre-Barnabas episodes are very underrated both for dialogue and character. They're slow but they really create a world and fill out the characters, imbuing them with heavy dimension that ultimately will have to sustain them for years as the show largely stops writing for character after it returns from 1795. What we know about them by then is what they have to power them. (I don't think the show was bad after, I actually love it in '68 and often in times after that, but it was very different.) I think the B&W episodes with Barnabas' early days are especially frightening - they terrified me as a kid - but the color stuff in '67 is also very strong, especially in the stretch where Julia is on the run, Carolyn is under Barnabas' control, and you get the sense that events have gone off the rails for the regular characters and anything goes. As a child viewer seeing it in syndication on the Sci-Fi Channel, who had no idea who lived or who died, it was a lot. Mitch Ryan is especially powerful in the early pre-Barnabas era as the sort of Byronic Burke Devlin character. You knew they had to kill him once Barnabas comes in, despite Ryan's alcohol problem making it impossible to keep him at the show - Burke dominates the first year or so as the fulcrum character, he's incredibly magnetic and charismatic. You couldn't see him becoming a dupe for Barnabas and Julia, as Anthony George's more benign, mild version briefly does before getting unceremoniously killed off. I always found Burke's offscreen plane crash death very eerie and suspicious, and I think the show does toy with the question if Barnabas' powers somehow got him on that plane and if he took it down. I had always wanted Burke to return one day, in any revival project, as a kind of vengeful power broker and puppet master, driven by Vicki's inevitable demise to get revenge on Barnabas and co. I still have Art Wallace's "Shadows on the Wall" DS bible somewhere. IIRC in the earliest versions of the plot Vicki was going to somehow be tied to the butler or his daughter - Betty Hanscomb or something. I don't remember the exact details. I do know there's all sorts of raised and dropped plotlines and characters offscreen in '66, like Ned Calder, the man they clearly intended to pair with Liz and so on. I've always found '66 very rich, but I don't begrudge the show after for it because it's still awfully well-written, specifically the early Barnabas stuff.
    • I totally agree with this, as most of you seem to. Mary Carney was at least competent and reasonably likable; I just feel like she barely had anything of substance to do before she was abruptly given the hook. And I get the backstory of Kathleen Tolan having done a play with Helen Gallagher, but...at any point did they ever actually READ her before they greenlit her? Because...OOF. First time I saw her on SoapNet was right when this GODAWFUL actress named Charity Rahmer played Belle on Days of Our Lives for all of three weeks before she was mercifully recast; her line readings were straight out of a Charlie Brown special. I remember thinking Kathleen Tolan could have played her mother! In the Frank/Jill/Delia triangle, Delia WAS the one who was cheated on, so I got why she was upset and thought it was perfectly valid in theory at least, but of course it was blown up to Wagnerian proportions including falls involving staircases and tricycles. But with Pat/Faith/Delia I had no sympathy for her...especially because it was mainly with Catherine Hicks's Faith and I really liked her.
    • I was going through those episodes from 1984 and early 1985 before they were taken down. Some of the older characters, like Don and even Tom, looked a little out of place, like they were on the wrong show. But the newer characters were fun. It's too bad they lost the character of Melissa. I guess Jennifer took her long-term place on the canvas.
    • How I will remember him...
