Tennis hasn’t been a winning investment in about a decade now. Why would Serena or Venus or anyone invest in a sport that pretends rigid adherence to 100 year old rules for some while making up rules, seemingly on the fly for others? At least in Women’s soccer, where Osaka and Williams are team owners, the possibilities to carve out rules from a new league exist.  And in tennis there is little solidarity and even the WTA seems to do more to hold up Eurocentric male patriarchy than anything else.

Tennis is a mess. Serena, and in particular, Venus has done all she can to reform the sport. Maybe BJK can ask the current stars to put in the time.

It’s time to get a former @WTA player syndicate together (MN, CE, BJK, MS, SW, VW, KC,LD…) and buy the women’s Italian Open tournament, put a female tournament director in place and either it stays in Rome with equal prize money or find a new city. @SerenaVentures let’s do this!

🤣 Whooo boy, I want to see Cardi B and Normani at the U.S. Open, although I don’t know if they’ll ever have AAKD but if they have a celebrity event or something, it’d be a scream.😂

Taylor is a good instructor though. I did not think that Normani would be able to coordinate the toss and hit the serve on her first attempt. I think she even hit the serve over the net!

Are we still taking rankings seriously in tennis? And now, as with pandemic protocols, each major will be a law unto themselves.

Neither Venus nor Serena have retired officially. I could see both doing a mini tour, like they did in Africa,(with a stop in Jamaica) years ago, as a goodbye. 

Venus in the mattress business too! I was watching TPIR and in the showcase showdown they showed a bedroom set by Venus Williams.😂.

She also has a mineral sunscreen for face/body (I am thinking of trying). Quite a number of companies.

Interestingly enough, all of her companies fit within the profile of non-toxic, eco friendly and health conscious products.

I’m high but I meant the part about their last match possibly being in KY. I didn’t know that. If that ends up being the last one.
