One of my friends from Spain even said she wasn’t Spanish even though her father is Basque and she’s lived in Spain most of her life. She’s certainly way more Spanish than Konta is British.

As someone whose family migrated to another country whose siblings are made up of us who were born in the U.S. and elsewhere but have been raised here, I can tell you that identity and national affinity is a lot more complex than people might realize.

Often it cannot be reduced to an "either (this) or (that)" proposition.

I am glad Mackie won. I prefer much more than Kei. If Delpo skips Acaculco he will lose 500 points....He should've not played this week. And he has 360 points to defend in Miami besides the 1000 Indian Wells points.

Super strong draw? Umm...no....this tourney use to have all the big names. It doesn't draw the players it use to. It may be a good draw but not strong. And I think Khachanov is in trouble of losing earlier again against Basilashvilli. And Fed gets an easy opener in Kohlschreiber.

I didn't say there was a connection. I just like Mack over Kei.....

3225. This is if he can't defend any points...would drop him to #10 with Tsitsipas on his heels and could pass him and could knock him out of the top 10. Delpo should not have played this week. He should've waited until next week. He had very little to defend this week so why play?

OMG....Justin is at the Delray tourney. TC had the nerve to show him and didn't mention him by name but said there is his team and Brett Haber who I loathe.....started talking about Dan Evans and his drug use....really?? How about Justin's troubles? Typical TC for you.

Oh really?  That whole match sounds like a lotta yuck!  I'm not a fan of Dan Evans at all (he sounds awful too) but if I had to choose the lesser of the two evils, it'd be Evans, if only to be spared more Isner and Gimelstob.

    • It begs the question; when is a secret room no longer secret? Now that Rafe and half of Salem have been held there, I think it's time for re-branding.
    • Any chance that Sonny and Ric could act like real brothers?
    • I agree that what's happened, whether it was more plausible for a virgin to ask for a diaphragm from her OB/GYN, that questionable.

    • Yikes -a Cane/Phyllis sex scene. Why was there no warning before this episode aired? And of course Phyllis had sex with her bra on.  Had to laugh when Cane, trying to think of Phyllis' password to sneak into her laptop, talks out loud so we (and she) can be clued into what's happening. What is Phyllis' financial standing? At one point she was wealthy enough to run a hotel-which she gave up in an instant(can't remember why-some inane reason) Now she's scrounging around for a job with Cane. The many residents of the GCAC who are living in hotel rooms don't seem to do anything to personalize their space-no photos, books etc. The GCAC must have a strict policy on that. Nikki did look good today. Still find her hairstyle a little dowdy though.
    • Then 87 is the year you're looking for. Vanessa leaves town in Jan 88. When I saw Jenny counseling Dinah about George making the pass at her, all I could think was that Van would be pissed Ross' latest fling was advising her daughter. Cop or not.
    • As much as I hate Phyllis, seeing Billy Flynn in those boxers briefs in today's episode, has me almost tolerating her. BF looks

    • Dear sweet June, you'll get it right eventually.  In the meantime it's a good chuckle.

    • Damn, Leslie went in on Shanice... poor girl! Leslie really can't handle stress or certain emotions well, she lashes out. I also think it's weird she wants to know so many details about Eva's love/sex life. Vernon was sweet to June. It was nice (realistic) to see a customer complain to her though while she's still trying to establish herself. I'll be that guy, but for me personally, my enthusiam/excitement over the show has stalled yet again over the last couple weeks. For the majority, it seems like we're in a holding pattern until Winterfest. It's like they don't want to rock the boat or do much until then, which leaves us in a quiet period here. Are sweeps a thing still these days? Seems odd that we're having a slow November. That ending was good, but I saw that coming... in theory it should have a quick resolution, but I'm guessing Leslie will expose it at Winterfest and it'll get throw out of proportion haha.
    • Yes. Why? I don't really care. Vanessa is also acting dumb, trying to run between tables, on a date with Ross in one room and a business meeting with Alan in another.  One of the few times Van is written as less than the smart woman she was.
