He should have lost his job two years ago when GH lost their chance to pass B&B. Sure they got rid of Jenifer Brandsford Carly and recast her with LW but it was not enough. Frons, JFP, and Guza should have all been fired.

And suprise, suprise. Here we are two years later and GH is letting another chance to pass B&B slip threw their fingers.

Idiots.

Woohoo! I love it when the ratings validate my opinion. A 2.4! Yay. GH SUCKS. No one is happy. Soaps cannot thrive on misery and sleaze alone. But Guza will sure try like hell. He needs to go. All he knows is cheating. And, sure, while it is a soap staple, so is family and romance. Yet Guza doesn't do that. He is a one-trick pony who should be put out on the street with Frons and JFP right beside him. ABCD is in the crapper and deserves it.

And it will not change unless the network makes changes.

Whoot, B&E! Save AMC! You two rock. Miracle workers. Saviors. Best thing to happen to this show in forever.

Is it just me, or is it like Megan never left the building? Hmmmmm.

I wish I could say I was surprised, but I'm not. I wish I could say that it bothered me that even B&E aren't getting the job done, but it doesn't. It's sad really, because so many people have propped these two up so much, that there's no where for them to go now but down. :( I love AMC, always have, always will, but truth is and like it or hate, our show is in as much trouble now as it was with Megan at the helm. No matter how you slice it, AMC is still sinking.

I'm actually really shocked that with all the soap press for OLTL's Thursday & Friday shows, that the show actually tanked by weeks end. I actually caught both episodes, and thought they were pretty good! Caught a few Y&R's last week, and something doesn't feel right on that show anymore, can't put my finger on it, but it wasn't the Y&R that I adored a few years ago. I just wish P&G could invest some money into sets for GL. It just looks so bad, even when the writing and acting aren't unwatchable, the sets are disturbingly bad! And when you stop and you see the crappy sets these actors have to work in, you sometimes quickly change the channel.

DAYS is in a sad state, much more compared to the other shows considering what an already fragile situation it has. I'm sad that this big storyline turned out to be sucky as did the returns of Tony, Andre and Stefano. Here's hoping for brighter days.

This show is horrendous! I can't believe this network has such a bad schedule and bad shows. This is a waste of airtime on a soap opera network, really!! Reality shows are the anti-soap in many senses and SoapNet deserves this big slap in the face.

I hope B&B gets up to a 3.0 next week. Brooke's rape SL has been amazing. It seems that B&B is the only soap worth watching currently. :D:D

DAYS: no surprise! This Santeen nonsense isn't helping, and the teen SL sucks!

It only been a few weeks since they started. You have to give them time. Sometimes when a new HW starts, the show gets worse before it gets better.

Isn't that what is going on with B&B? Didn't it reach its new lows in the first few weeks of Kay Alden's writing? Now it seems to be going up.

    • I assume they did at some point during the finale...
    • Kelly was a horribly-written character overall. Just think, two Emmy-winning actresses (including Cynthia Watros, Nina, GH, and Annie, GL) couldn't make it work. Pamela is campy, but so are Dani, Vanessa, Leslie, and Joey. And, I don't want to be too judgy because my love for camp changes depending on the show. OLTL, DAYS, and some eras of GH had me rolling with the camp. However, Passions was overkill and I hated it. And, here, I can take it or leave it. It's ok in small doses (note to RC). I see this show as more of a serious drama.
    • I think one of the reasons that pilot didn't get picked up was because Vicki L was associated more with being Thelma Harper and playing older then she was playing her own age.  It was a blessing it didn't get picked up, or we would have been deprived of the syndicated era of Mama's Family.   Also, worth noting a Pre Night Court Marsha Warfield and pre Perfect Strangers Rebecca Arthur in the cast.  All talented women, but stuck with a bad script. And the other pilot had a pre Fran Fine.. Fran Drescher as the best friend.  I think that pilot might have been picked up if Karen Valentine and Fran Drescher switched roles.
    • So, on rewatch....did Rick and Mindy never have sex?
    • Cady had a fairly posh accent or manner as Rosanna - the character was a 180 from Dixie when she went to ATWT, and it was a huge success initially. As someone mostly only familiar with the nagging, miserable or clueless Dixie of the mid-late '90s and early 2000s it was what convinced me Cady could act. I thought she was incredible in her first run. Later, in future stints, her hair and story and performances were all over the place but a lot of that was down to the show for me. She brought some of Rosanna back with her to Dixie in her ill-fated return and a lot of people didn't like it, which I understood but I did think the character needed some change. I think she's had a little bit of the same persona and arch performance in every role she's played since, including Jennifer Horton at DAYS or Kelly at Y&R, who later became a maniac and was easily the worst work I've ever seen Cady do. It has kind of infected her overall mannerisms, I'll allow that, but I do think she brought Dixie back together as herself while still evolving the character when she returned to AMC again in 2012-13. Nonetheless, for me the upshot is that this is a character where Cady's kookier recent performance style suits the role. But I can understand it grating for people.
    • Yeah, Loretta Swit's passing stings. My late dad LOVED the show (he died last November) and watched it religiously. In first run and repeats.  And I was literally born the day after the show's premiere, so I grew up with it! I know many loved later, softer Margaret, but I loved Early Hot Lips. In real life, I'm all for less misogyny, but to me, the early years of M*A*S*H were just funnier. May Loretta Swit rest in peace. Thanks for all the memories connected to my dad!

    • I agree that she isn't Dixie or Rosanna and shouldn't be acting like either. I just found it strange that she had a naive Southern character and a wealthy urbane character in the past and didn't experiment with accents before (unless I missed it, correct me if I'm wrong). She used to do improv characters on YouTube. She's probably doing something similar here.

    • And here I thought I'd never think about Lauren Tewes again after her brief appearance in Twin Peaks Season 3.
    • I may be the single person who does not mind Transatlantic Campy Pamela. I think it perfectly suits this sort of Absolutely Fabulous-esque supporting character she's playing much more than it did when Cady tried weird and often broad stuff at AMC* or Y&R, or later stints at ATWT. She's not Dixie and she's not trying to be. I will freely admit some of the other chances she took at other shows often came off stiff, hammy or downright mortifying (Kelly Andrews, come on down). (* - and I say that as one of the few who was somewhat into Cady trying to make Dixie more cosmopolitan in the Rosanna Cabot mold in mid-2000s AMC, just to liven the character up again)
