This proves that when Y&R tanks so does the rest of CBS daytime, so hoping Y&R tanks means you are hoping the rest of CBS daytime does also. I can guarantee you that if that boycott works and Y&R gets to a 3.5 or something that GL, ATWT will both be in the 1's for ratings that week and B&B will be in the low 2's. And as we have seen with DAYS recovery from falling is not really to easy, so even if we all get a new headwriter for Y&R whos to say anyone will tune back in anyway, and by doing so the rest of CBS daytime has also suffered and won't come back.

Thats just one week though...

I mean I don't want to argue it or anything but I think it'd be better to see what happens over a month or 2 before we can come to any conclusion about Y&R and the other CBS soaps.

And to be clear Y&R comes on at 4PM where I live and its the last of all the soaps.

B&B @ 1:30PM, ATWT @ 2PM, GL @ 3PM, and Y&R @ 4PM.

What I'd love is to have Y&R at 3 and then followed by ATWT at 4. And then I'd DVR GH.

I got this today:

* "General Hospital" was the No. 2-ranked program for the week, with a 1.7 rating and an 11 share, delivering 1.1 million Women 18-49. "GH" beat "Days of Our Lives" by 17% and time period competitor "Guiding Light" by 70% this week among Women 18-49. The drama was up 10% versus last week and 2% versus the same week last year among Women 18-34. "General Hospital" was also up 9% versus the same week last year among Female Teens.

* "One Life to Live" was the No. 3*-ranked program of the week, with a 1.5 rating (*tied with "All My Children" and "Days of Our Lives") and a 10 share, delivering one million Women 18-49. "OLTL" was up 3% versus last week among Women 18-34. Additionally, "OLTL" outperformed time period competitors "As the World Turns" by 52% and "Passions" by 37% among Women 18-49.

* "All My Children" was the No. 3*-ranked program of the week, with a 1.5 rating (*tied with "One Life to Live" and "Days Of Our Lives") and a 10 share, delivering one million Women 18-49. "AMC" was up 4% from last week among Women 18-34 and 8% among Female Teens.

Season to date, ABC Daytime's drama lineup ranks No. 1, with a 1.6 rating and a 10 share, delivering 1.1 million Women 18-49 - outperforming CBS by 17% and NBC by 20% in actuals. In the Full lineup ABC Daytime is No. 1, with a 1.6 rating and a 10 share, delivering 1.1 million Women 18-49, outperforming CBS by 19% and NBC 19% in actuals.

OMFG! I'm shocked at B&B ratings. The Constantine crap and the singing ain't helping - Bell, get rid of both.

And, the Brooke vs Stephanie feud has got very stale after 20 years - time for something new for both KKL and Susan Flannery.

    • To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B   I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is.   I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well.   My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.
    • Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss.    I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.
    • And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.
    • Oh, no. Vernon has definitely had his moments.   Choose silence anyone?
    • Search YT for Edwyn Sanchez, he posted an AI enhanced episode of ATWT and it is beautiful.
    • That's so funny, that's how I listen to Montecito - while walking my dog. I'll have to check out Forever & a Day.
    • I need to listen! Forever & a Day was a fun soapy podcast to have available when I walked the dog.
    • A few years ago, Devon and Nick started a charity organization together, I think it's for housing in the community.
    • I’m hoping to start getting to know Vernon better this month. He’s really only been a bunch of noble and good tropes so far. I don’t want him to be taken down the way Ted has been, but it seems he was a long-running Senator and no matter what party you are, lasting longer than twenty years means you’re looking out for you (and not who you’re supposed to be looking out for) most of all. I want to get to know both Vernon and Anita beyond their Dupree posturing. Clifton Davis can sleepwalk handling the kind of material Christopher Bernau and David Lewis handled and I’d like to see more than just a saint.
    • I thought Emily/Hal was a really interesting pairing. And I think KMH played that version of Emily very well! It might not have been what people wanted from Emily, and the writing got pretty gross at the end, but I thought she embodied that character effectively.
