Night Shift Tends To A Record Number of Viewers

Doctor, doctor, gimme the news! The Thursday night premiere of General Hospital: Night Shift companion piece/spin-off/alternate reality series gave SOAPnet its largest-ever audiences in both total viewers (a cool million) and women 18-to-49 (498,000). GH: NS also proved robust against its basic cable competitors, placing No. 2 in the aforementioned key demo.

Want another healthy sign? Fine. Night Shift improved upon SOAPnet's year-ago audience by, oh, 341 percent in total viewers.

Scary thought: Could there be no such thing as too much Jason Morgan?

It had to be the Perez Hilton ads. Although, what was UP with those SCANDALOUS Kim McCullough ads?! Where she was [email protected]! I thought that went a little TOO far just to promote a soap. TOTALLY made her character look like a tramp -- especially when you're nude AND IN BETWEEN TWO MEN.

Ratings wise...that equals to a 1.0 rating and a 0.6 rating in women 18-to-49.

Not exactly. The 0.6 for women 18-49 is right, but the 1.0 would only be true if they were talking about households. They weren't; they were talking about viewers.
