I don't know if this is allowed, if not please remove my post!!

Soap Central is reporting that when Greenlee gets into her car accicent (apparently with Spike in the car), the accident leaves Spike permanently deaf.

And yet Mr. Can-Do-No-Wrong-Ryan will some how find a way to blame Zach and the blackout (IMO)<_<

This will increase my hatred for Greenlee although the story has potential to be socially conscious and raise awareness as to how those close to Spike are affected by him being deaf. However I hope it is temporary

HA!

Anyways, this sounds like a good idea. We'll see how it plays out (and it could go awry), but for once it's a story idea that doesn't sound contrived. If McTavish was still writing, there would be a car accident...but Spike wouldn't be deaf, he would be presumed dead, and kidnapped, and we could go on...

On the contrary, I hope not. It would be such a McTavish thing to do, to deem Spike permanantly deaf, but then have him get his hearing back. If this kid is permanantly deaf, let him be permanantly deaf. If done right, this could inject a social relevence that the show has yet to do and I'm sure Agnes would approve.

If this story goes on the right track then it could go good. This story also deals with real life. I also agree that Agnes would approve. :)

I just hope this is balanced with some lighter stories. ABC Daytime is dark enough as it is. B&E were really fun with Phillip/Harley back in the day. I just don't want constant sturm und drang.

Life is actually sometimes a lot of fun, ya know?

I agree. I can't wait to see what they do with Sean and Colby. After years of deep, dark drama with the teens on ATWT, I'm more than ready to see something fun, and full of quality, for a teen storyline.

Yeah, yeah, Greenlee will become the town pariah, blah, blah, and in a few months, she'll be the beloved town heroine. If history repeats itself :cough: Babe :cough:.

I still feel sorry for Greenlee. Having her eggs destroyed is an awful thing. If only she had accepted what happened and moved on after a few weeks. Trying to take Spike is just crazy. Talk about putting yourself first. I like the actress playing Greens a lot, but they are just taking her too far, imo.

I wonder if Spike will be a candidate for a cochlear (Sp?) implant like Devon on Y&R.
