June 24, 200718 yr Member This clip was from July 1999, it was Not JER, it was a scene from The Princess Gina story written by Sussman Morina. She wrote lots of hot love scenes, not only between John and Gina, but also between Nicholas Alamain and Kate Roberts. She did wrote some awful love scenes too, like the one between Roman and Billie in 1998. Oh, I knew that . I was just commenting that JER was great at love scenes at his time-- John/Kate, Shawn/Belle, Marlena/Roman, Nicole/Brady, etc.
June 24, 200718 yr Member right. I dont want to see Grandma Marlena and Grandpa Nasal I mean John having sex YUCK. Show me Jeremy and Steph, Belle and shawn and Jett with who ever. Show young meat not wrinkles of gray Thank You!!! There's plenty of moaning when they're making out. I can only imagine their hollerin' in a love scene. Edited June 24, 200718 yr by aMLCproduction
June 24, 200718 yr Member Abe's reaction to Lexie's disapperance Didn't James Reynolds recently have surgery for something? I can deal without some love scenes, but with the Nick/Chelsea plot it was very, very, valuable to the story and their fans. I find myself agreeing mostly with Ponz about Sheffer's flaw.
June 24, 200718 yr Member Hogan is pretty shitty when it comes to love scenes. Simon & Katie's "first time" on ATWT comes to mind. After almost a year of buildup to their relationship, the love scene was just painfully anticlimatic.
June 24, 200718 yr Member Didn't James Reynolds recently have surgery for something? JR had heart surgery about a month ago, which is why we haven't seen an Abe/Lexie reunion yet. He was available back in Jan/Feb after Lexie's car accident but Hogan chose not to use him.
June 25, 200718 yr Member Wasn't Jason and Liz's first time on GH - build up of like 8 years - really short, too?
June 25, 200718 yr Member Less John and Marlena humping any surface in town is not what I call "a flaw."
June 25, 200718 yr Member it's not just Days that is sexless. I've noticed this across all the soaps I watch. Maybe they're afraid of FCC complaints? I dunno, but it's not just Days ... Exactly. Days isn't the only one. I do think the FCC played a role but I also think budget does too. In regards to Hogan screwing with dramatic scenes and moving from plot point to plot point, I disagree at least in the context of his writing from Oct. 2006-January 2007 and from May 2007-present. The rest was hit or miss but there were many hits between Feb. 2007 and April 2007.
June 25, 200718 yr Member Woah! That clip Aremid posted reminds me how freaky it was to see Princess Gina suck caviar off of John's hairy fingers.
June 25, 200718 yr Member Sheffer's romance really sucks but what happen to his promise not to reform rapist? I know the reason why he has to reform EJ but still it seems that he has this rule about not reform rapist after he has done the deed. Sheffer refused to reform Marshall after he raped Jessica and he decided to kill off Marshall... His attempt to humanize EJ is too lame and using the feud as an excuse just not very inventive...
June 28, 200718 yr Author Member Yay for Tony and Anna injecting a little romance into Days with their dance and dinner. Wish it could have lasted a little longer, but these days I'll take what I can get.
July 4, 200718 yr Author Member Bumping for Roman and Anna having discussions about sex and the plot including fallout from them having sex but them showing no love scenes for the couple at all and then again today we had Belle and Shawn having lusty come-ons yet no romance for that two either. Just them heading up the sex stairs pretty much the same exact way Chelsea and Nick did a week ago.
July 4, 200718 yr Member I hate it just as much as many of you but the simple reason is they don't have bedroom sets anymore. It's budget cuts, plain and simple. On top of that, many soaps have stopped with the all out love scenes, not just Days. It seems like a soap-wide development. I will say there is a few good love scenes on Days tomorrow with a certain couple.
