I woke up this morning and turned on The View. I knew Sherri Sheppard was going to be on, so I wanted to watch. I was shocked when Gayle King came out as well. I was even more shocked when Gayle sat in the moderator chair and was in charge. I believe she is doing a fabulous job and I think she has the chops to be show's mod. I know I wanted Joy, just because of the length of time she's been on the show, but I really don't know if she could handle that job, and I don't think the execs would give it to her. Gayle is amazing today and can do this on a daily basis.

Then, you have Sherri, who is freaking hilarious! She's talking about taking wedding gifts back for cash and Gayle is disgusted by the idea. For most of the first hot topic session, the cameras were only on Gail and Sherri. The audience loves them.

Today really made me feel like I was watching The View before Star and Meredith left the show. Gayle is the new Meredith, and Sherri is the new Star. This is the best panel we've had and they are very successful today with the audience.

Screw Whoopi Goldberg! Gayle, Joy, Elisabeth, Sherri and Barabara for Season 11 of The View!

I liked them a lot too, but I can take or leave Gayle. I'd like it if she and Barbara took turns in the moderator chair. I loved Gayle, but she came across as too "I want to be in control" for me. Hell, maybe that was just me. I'd love it if today's panel was the regular group.

gayle would be a smart choice, as she would bring a lot of the oprah audience to The View...

Gayle would be an awesome choice for The View! She brings class that Meredith had plus some experience. I would love to see this panel!! Come on Barbara!!! Give us what we want!

Oh my god ... that woman was insane! Exactly like all the typical born-again christian crazy people I've encountered through work. Closed minded, intollerant to any different perspective. It was a trainwreck to watch. I loved Joy baiting her in the hot topics section, and even Elisabeth I could see was getting really sick of what she was saying. And then during the Michael Moore segment, before going to the first commercial after Babs haddn't let her ask any questions to the man, she screams out as the music's playing and the camera's pulling away "SOCIALISM DOESN'T WORK!!!" (and yes ... it does! Some countries do it perfectly)

I still do not think that the show will last that much longer

I liked everyone today except elisabeth, they need to get rid of her. Why the heck does she always talk over Joy, its annoying as hell.

I loved it! Im not sure if I can see them putting to black women on the show, but it would be a nice change. Gayle worked great as moderate and Sherri is always a riot.

I also couldnt stand Elizabeth and wish they'd get rid of her. I wish she'd STFU and hated how she proceeded to talk over Joy when she was talking about stem cells

I don't agree with half of the [!@#$%^&*] that streams out of Elisabeth's mouth, granted, but I didn't fault her for talking over Joy. I mean...it's Joy. She talks over the others when she's trying to get her point across, too.
