This is great....I liked Ruth and Joe and always thought she should've played a more active role now that baby Jenny is around, as well as Jeff and her new grandson Josh.

She is. It appears they are taping Jenny's baptism on Monday and both Ruth and Opal are on the same show . The only Martin that I didn't hear was going to be there is Jeff

BTW Barbara is still taping as well

Wow. I am bringing back Ruth in my blog and here the real AMC actually does it. I hope she is around more often and is it too much to ask to revive the old Martin house set?

Awesome! Ruth is a necessary part of the show. The Kane/Montgomery clan has Myrtle to turn to for guidance and advice and the Martins should have Ruth!

That's great news. Now if they would only recast Jake and bring him home. He's way too important of a character to have been gone this long!!

Awesome news. I agree Ruth should've never disappeared. Lee Meriwether is great in the role. So glad she's back. I also agree that Jake Martin also needs to return. I prefer Michael Lowry to return.

I agree. J. Eddie Peck was so wooden in the role. Michael Lowry was much better. What is he up to these days, anyone know?

The whole Colby issue could be revisited again so to speak. I am assuming Colby does not know the real reason behind her conception.

I don't think Ruth is necesary in the form of Lee Meriweather. She is not the same without Mary Fickett's Emmy Award Winning performance to back th character up.

I like the idea of Jake returning. He could come back with Carolyn Finn, and a new child, so that there are more future Martins. Adam can become really jealous because Colby and Jake become friends. He is afraid to loose another child, like what happened with JR, to a Martin. Jake own biological child can become jealous of his close relationship to Colby, leading to tension in his marriage too.

It would be great to see Joe interact with someone other than Tad. Jeff is more or less in the attic too now.

I love the idea of more Martins, and Ruth is much needed. I totally agree that Jake should be back. If not Michael Lowry, someone else. Anyone but J Eddie Peck. I liked him on Y&R, but he was a bad fit as Jake.

Lowry was last seen on B&B last November playing a neuroligist of Lesley-Anne Down.

He didn't seem to be the best actor (not the worst either) but I don't wish J. Eddie Peck on anynone. Le horror!

In the new ABC SID. It reports that John James(Jeff) is no longer on contract but staying with the show. Also it reports that ABC sources confirm that Taylor Gildersleeve is out as Sydney and so is Susan Pratt(Barbara).
