Claire: Lost and Found

Belle, Shawn and Philip join forces to track their missing daughter to the USAdorable pageant in chicago this week. "Philip and Belle arrive first and learn they've missed the pageant," notes JKJ. "The conference room is empty. They run into a woman who works there and show her a picture of Claire. She recognzies her."

Shawn shows up and tells Philip to scram, but Philip refuses, "Philip wants Claire back as badly as anybody else does," insists Johnson. "he wants to be there to find her." The unlikely trio gets one step closer to that goal when they learn Claire was indeed at the pageant, "but she was dressed up and registered as a boy named Jeffrey," explains Johnson. "The pageant employee gives them all the information she has on the lady who had Claire."

Belle phones the mystery woman and lures her back to the conference room by claiming there was mistake and "Jeffrey" actually won, entitling her to the pageant prize money. "The woman returns, but doesn't bring Claire with her," recounts JKJ. "There's a confrontation. Belle finally reaches her breaking point. She says she's tired of playing games and wants her baby back."

The woman flees. A devastated Belle realizes how scared her little girl must be and starts to sing a song that used to comfort her. Suddenly, Belle, Shawn and Philip hear a child crying. "Shawn and Philip tell Belle to keep singing," explains JKJ. "They konw Claire's cry. They've found her. They run off looking to reunite with Claire and bring her home where she belongs."

Which would be music to Belle's ears.

This sounds so cheesy.

The Claire-is-missing story seems to have been nothing more than a ploy to get all three of them to live in the mansion together.

So it's not just your run of the mill baby beauty pageant, it's a co-ed baby beauty pageant?! LOL.

And more Belle singing. Jeebus I got enough of that with the cheesetastic with the three of them singing "Kumbaya" errrrrr "Amazing Grace" when they made up on the boat.

Sounds better than I originally thought however, just finding Claire isn't the end of the story. Why the woman had her in the first place, has to be explained.

If DAYS wants to gain more viewers, then the DiMera/Brady feud storyline wont be enough. They need to seriously start coming up with really strong and exciting storylines for the other characters as well. DAYS aint gonna reach no top in ratings as long as Hogan Sheffer keeps writing boring pointless storylines for Shawn/Belle/Philip and Chelsea/Jett/Jeremy.
