Today was a good episode. It wasn't anything special though. Eat it suckers! Willow didn't die today!!! :D:P

The highlight of the episode was Tony and EJ. It's the battle for the DiMera throne and Stefano isn't even dead yet. I like how EJ and Tony spar with each other, verbally. Both brothers know what buttons to push to get the other one going. James Scott and Thaao Penghlis are great together. You would assume they've been working together for the past 15 years. At least we know that EJ was not raised by Kristen. It was still a little hazy as to how EJ was raised. That can now be confirmed. EJ was raised by Susan until Stefano took him away from her. And I loved how EJ brought up Kristen to Tony. It was such a low blow about Tony wanting to be a father and never having the chance. Poor Tony. But just because Tony never had the chance to have a child, doesn't mean he should take that right from EJ.

Lucas and Sami were snoozeville to me until Rolf showed up. I have no problem with Will Utay and Rolf being back on our screens. I loved him. That accent cracks me up. I was surprised when Rolf walked right into Sami's room with only that cap on to disguise his idetntity. Has Sami ever seen Rolf? I can't remember. EJ comes by to save the day. Be still my heart... :wub:EJAMI, you're so close yet so far away.

I really like Chelsea and Jett. Marcus Patrick is no Emmy consideration for acting, but he's not bad. He can handle his lines and deliver them nicely. He has serious chemistry with Rachel Melvin as well. I'm not going to lie. I have to wonder where they are going with his fiance though. Will we ever see her? The casting call for Jett Carver said that he and Chelsea would start out as close friends, but due to circumstances, they would be put closer together, and feelings could develop. You can tell Nick is no Jett fan. Blake Berris has been looking different lately. I think it's because he hasn't shaved. I'm glad they made a reference to Jeremy and Nick being related. I thought they were going to surpass that and act like Nick and Jeremy aren't supposed to know each other. And now we know that Jeremy was raised by Robin, not Mike. Where is Mike, and why does Jeremy act the way he does?

Tomorrow looks like a sad day from the previews.

Well, maybe a Days post whore. I hardly ever post in other threads, except Passions ones, even though I watch all the soaps. Like the new name Shawn :) .

Oh, and IMissAremid. I like you too and your posts. Your are a great contributer to our great board and to the Days threads. :)

Thanks for the kind wishes. I will miss you all. :) .

Anna left the show in July of 1986. Tony left in October of 1985. Even though she wasn't showing in July, everyone and their mother wanted EJ to be their lovechild. Myself included! Hopefully they go there, whether or not it's EJ.

Same here. There simply isn't a need for Rolf at all. If the DiMeras needed a scientist, they could have made it more dramatic by forcing Nick to aid them.

As for Bart, eh. Sorry, but even with one or two lines he just irks the hell out of me.

LoL, yeah... that's why I haven't gotten around to watching my tape of today's show yet. I can barely tolerate him.

I hope he's played darker and more seriously than before, and without the crazy accent. I just don't have high hopes for this upcoming story when I know that I get to look forward to idiots like Bart and Rolf in the midst of it all. BART + ROLF = BARF! LoL

Thanks. I am glad I signed up. This place is a lot calmer and people seem to have a better sense of humor here than some of the other soap boards I've been at.

I thought that was weird too. All I can figure is they didn't want to give him much of a disguise because it was his first day and they wanted people to recognize him again. I am officially meh to Rolf but I am liking Bart being written to be around Tony but not saying much of anything.

Didn't Anna miscarry Tony's child as well? If Georgia can be alive so can that baby.

How can they undo something they never did in the first place? We never saw EJ shoot John and EJ was surprised when the shot rang out. We saw Tek stick something behind his pants after he supposedly saw EJ shoot John. John was all weird about Steve before he slipped into the coma. John doesn't remember EJ shooting him. I think Tek or Steve shot John.

    • Oups!! I guess when i was doing the editing, i left a part of 3169, too (RTL Lounge airs 2 episodes per day back to back). Sorry about that ! Tonight i ll try to record 3171-3172. If i m not mistaken 3172 is missing from YouTube.

    • I would put Felicia in the 'small dose' auntie category because she means well, but comes on too strongly at times.  In small doses, she would be a blast to hang out with.. but in anything larger than a small... she would be exhausting. I tend to prefer lower key people than people that are always 'on' all the time.  Those people can veer off into energy vampire status pretty quickly.
    • I didn't like the Harry story, but Nazar did have a great introduction. He was probably the highlight of last year.  Now that you mention it, I guess the truly dire stories (Nicole, Harper/Drew/Phil, Nicole) didn't start until summer.
    • thank you all for contributing to the Vault. I am slowly getting towards watching the 1998 episodes

    • I pray⏤and I know it's a big prayer⏤that Noel Maxam is somehow able to figure things out budget-wise so we can stop re-dressing existing sets as "new" sets. I know in apartment buildings apartments can generally look the same, but I'm over it on this soap. The last time he was executive producer was in 2011 when the original Horton Town Square was introduced, and we had some other sets get introduced around this time (likely pre-commissioned prior to his election), but I'm trying to have some hope he can pull this off. Let's [finally] see it.
    • Definitely not the best of RC's breakdowns. I don't know what it says that I could pick up his trademarks yesterday 30 minutes in without even knowing that he did one. There was something more...quirky/boardstroked...about Dani. Though I love the Dani/Nicole scenes, she was just a little too hip?...which made me think back to the episode when she broke into Bill/Hayley's house. Then watching the episode later on, I saw Hayley was being used as a punchline to the more interesting and relevant Bill/Ted scenes (see you all were just talking about how you hoped they got scenes...one thing this show is great at...what people want on this board...they already have the foresight for it. The reason I feel the DNA test will get mentioned @Cheap21 in more detail). And then poor Anita reduced for the most part propping up an album.    Needless to say, not my favorite RC episode. And since we are in aftermath week, I just smh. And barely worth a rewatch. BUT...was there good for me?    Yes. Thankfully, we still got good aftermath beats regardless of the breakdown.   Like I said, I really like the Dani/Nicole scenes. But I love their dynamic. And I was looking forward to the shoe being on the other foot once the SilkPress storyline hit climax. Quirks aside, it did not disappoint. Dani came in, and she came in fierce for her sister. I loved her attacking Eva. And then her being surprisingly introspective about Nicole due to her own experience. No wonder Nicole reacted to her being self-aware. So did I.    Meanwhile Bill and Ted finally met up. I'm kinda sad that we did not get that sooner given the scenes that played out sidepiece in the background aside. It might have been interesting to see more of their status as non-Duprees coming into the family explored.    And of course I can't leave without mentioning Eva vs SilkPress Sheila which was the highlight. Both of them were giving. And SilkPress was just so cold with it. I did love that Eva finally stopped letting her gaslight her. Sad to see the duo break up. But I did love that she went to Ted. So...the next turn begins.   And speaking of turns...uh oh at Kat and Tomas. I'm sure he won't be staying away from her. So most definitely, Kat vs Eva ain't over. It will be interesting to see how it goes now that most people know that Kat was right all along.
    • Nah I enjoyed it much more last year because of the Harry plot that ended during that time. Nazar being introduced and them. But this time it is so lame and nothing I like forward to anymore and I’m one of them long time fans. Of course I would be upset if they would cancel it but maybe take a year off or two and return refreshed
    • came across this quote that provides some context: “It’s hard to escape the cultural reach of the Catholic Church when you live in the Western world. It is, for better or worse, one of the load-bearing walls of our civilization. Its influence wafts from the church into the streets of civic life, the courts, the schools, the arts.”
