^ Trent wrote for RH, Search for Tomorrow, GL (for which he was apart of that 92 Emmy winning team), but his most significant writing contribution was to Y&R, which he wrote for on and off from 93 to 06 (before that hack in charge fired him). He was apart of a an Emmy winning writing team for Y&R too. In between stints, he wrote briefly for ATWT in 2005.

Here's SON's very own writing profile for Jones.

How I wish he was writing for Y&R still . . .

I'm really interested how did the two meet, if this indeed is Trent Jones. He lives in upper New York (state), but they couldn't have met on ATWT since she was there from 1985 to 1988. And he didn't write for the show then. Julianne also won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Ingenue in a Drama Series in 1988.

Okay....this was bothering me so I dug a little deeper. When I had googled for a pic of Trent Jones, the picture I posted earlier came up. So I'm like, yeah that really does look like him. But now I kept looking further and saw a guy associated with Julianne Moore named Todd Haynes that looks like Trent's spitting image. Sigh....sorry for the mistaken identity.

Darn. :( I guess now I'm back to being curious again.

Anyway, wow, if RH is indeed back on daily that was a quick turnaround. I wonder if viewer protest had anything to do with it?

Trent Jones was also an actor, his stuff on Ryan's Hope aired a while back. He was pretty good, would love to have him back writing.

I'm not surprised RH is back considering all the complaining and letters and phone calls. They knew they were being haters with the extra Dallas airings since they still own rights to RH since Disney/ABC owns it. AW is different because they would've had to buy more episodes of the series.

Something I don't understand is why they don't pick up other ABC soaps you know will be cheaper for them. Loving, The City, the early years of Port Charles all have complete runs.

YIPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

I just saw it on my Tivo... It's back to airing daily...

Did someone actually listen to the fans or did the new line up not work out as planned? I think it's the latter, of course. There is no way Frons did this for the fans...

But this is great. I don't know how or why, but I am very happy!!!!!!!!

    • Shari Anderson was also head writer for a few months before the strike began.
    • I would agree.  Does anyone ever notice in Jan 1988/even Dec 1987, the show started to refer to characters from the past and mainly the Frame family?   It sounded like Lemay talk.  Jason Frame mentioned his sister Sharlene in early 88 but the ending credits still listed MD has head writer and I think Lemay was about to take over at that point.  The show hired Lemay back I believe to prepare for the 25th anniversary and try to recapture the audience that was lost by bringing the past back up.  Then the writers strike happened and all of a sudden the writing changed except when Sharlene Frame came back and we heard more family chatter again.  Maybe at this time they knew the strike was coming near to an end the producer forced the scab writing team to introduce Sharlene. I suspect even though Lemay was not writing at the time, the intent was he is coming back and the show consulted with him on his future storylines.
    • -- My Laugh of the Day goes to Carly calling the Metro Court a "five-star hotel." -- It's crazy, but what Drew did to Wiley makes Drew come off worse than if he actually murdered someone. -- Cynthia Wattros really needs to lay off the Botox. Because her face doesn't move, she's doing WAY too much with her eyes. -- Josh Kelly is looking so good with the new haircut. -- Rory Gibson continues to impress as nuMichael. Just another reminder that Josh Griffith doesn't know how to write for talent. -- This Lucky goodbye is sad -- in all the wrong ways. It could not be more pathetic. There's no doubt in my mind that Valentini told the writers they had 3 days to write him out and to make it ugly. No one will miss JJ.

      We all have our picks
    • Teach me to post cocky about all these rampant relations! As for the cut, it just made Leo Howard look more stunningly handsome. There are guys I think are hotter, but he's got the prettiest face hands down.
    • Yes Arianna and Sami are blood related through Sami and Theresa. They are also adoptive/honorary related because Arianna's third.parent is Sonny, which makes Arianna and Tate related through Justin and Isabella.
    • I saw more about Biden Old or the staged feud between Elon and Trump or just the usual distractions, but I will admit I don't stomach most of the news anyway.
    • Figured it was something like that. It's just feels weird that Will came back to see John but he's not gonna be at his funeral but

They are blood related. Through Sami and Theresa. I didn't notice it last week, but it looked so fresh today. Like he got cut minutes before they started filming or something lol
    • Bill convinced the Governor to pardon Luna. Steffy was too busy badmouthing Hope & Brooke for most of the Spring to concern herself with such trivial matters.
