Days:Renee Jones returning??

I say Kristen and Peter are not real DiMeras because they aren't. They're from JER's DiMeras, the DiMeras that could be as crazy as all hell and get away with anything. I don't think we're going to be seeing that this time around. I think Hogan is going to make the DiMeras a realisic crime family, like they were in the mob. Kristen and Peter wouldn't fit it that. Sorry.

As for the dislike of Lexie, yes, her character has become stale, jumping from one romance to the other, but she's been missed. It'll be great to have a 13 year veteran back.

THANK YOU for posting that last paragraph, Kenny. I was about to ask the same thing. First we hear the show can barely make it on a shoestring budget, it's in this hole, financially and we're lucky to get the newbies and cheapies on our screen -- next, we see these casting choices. WHERE'S THE MONEY COMING FROM?!

Or was THIS budget rumor a LIE, too?

Please. Kristen and Peter don't fit, but Tony does? The same Tony that had a man-controlled volcano and a caribbean lair with magnetized floors?

With decent writing, anything is possible. It's been years since we've seen Kristen or Peter... anything could be possible with them. Hell, Kristen could be a nun! LoL

lol the DiMera's havent seen realistic scene Stefano was chasing after Julie in the early 80s. With Jack and Jenn gone, I see no use for Peter.

But with damn Elvis Jr. running amuck Salem, the fact the Kristen isnt the first DiMera brought back is mind boggling. It would make more sense for her to return, over Tony and Anna. Never the less, I am happy to see them.

But you don't know which Tony is coming back! I don't either. It could be the real Tony from the 80s, but then again, it could be the joke that was brought in with other jokes such as Kristen and Peter. We shall wait and see. :)

I know it was said to be confirmed at another board, but has this been confirmed anywhere else where Cindi Rinehart is not the first source?

Just because in the many years I have painfully watched her, she's never had a scoop first. Yes, she is right but that's because she reports things long after everyone else does

Reilly was responsible for Lexie becoming a DiMera, but he didn't create the character, so she wasn't one note like Kristen and Peter became. Hell, she didn't embark her DiMera-isms until well after Reilly left the show. One could wonder why he even made the decision. I think it was to keep Celeste on the show.

YES!

I love renee Jones and I just hope hogan will give her something to do other then to be the crappy town Doctor. I loved Renee's acting during the baby switch storyline (I actually was rooting for lexie to keep the baby) and with the right material she can be amazing.hopefully Lexie will ditch abe (No chemistry - and he brings her down.they should split them up for good) and embrace her evil Dimera persona.

and please,dont bring back TEK.

This is terrific news! Alexandra Dimera is needed and is an excellent character. I hope she returns as a Dimera and not as wimpy Abe Carver's wife. She and Abe are totally played out and they have ZERO chemistry. He is too old and he just brings her down. It would freaking rock if she came back fully Dimera-ized to reclaim Theo wanting nothing to do with him.

Finally DAYS is starting to get watchable again.

    • I don't expect Lois to be the same person she was 25 years ago, but she's definitely lost a lot of what made Lois unique.  It's clear the show doesn't know how to write for her, and the sole purpose of Lois is to hide this Gio secret.  It's a shame she doesn't interact with more of the canvas.  It's a waste of Rena's talents. I like Brook Kerr most of the time.  She can be hit or miss.  I totally get what you are saying about her line readings too.  I honestly think the character really suffers being stuck in the Curtis pairing.  She's much better than Tanisha Harper's Jordan lol.
    • Friday and yesterday's episode is what daytime television should be. The other shows airing could take a page from yesterday's show.  I loved the rage, hurt and anger Nicole unleashed on Ted.  Daphnee should be up for an Emmy nom for these scenes.  It broke my heart to see how Dana had locked Eva out.  I do feel sorry for Eva.    I am still bumfuzzled as to why Leslie/Dana went to the DuPree's and asked them to accept Kat UNLESS Eva is really Kat's twin (and really Nicole and Ted's daughter that maybe they though they lost or an embryo Dana/Leslie stole??) I loved how Anita and Vernon both shot her down.    Ohhh and let me just say Friday and yesterday was the MOST fire I have seen Martin have since the show started.  Maybe Brandon Clayborn is coming into his own with the role finally.
    • You've been seeing him all along. You just didn't know it was him, I guess.

    • Where to for Dana? She's pissed off the Duprees (most of the cast), alienated her daughter and will she be welcomed by the Have Nots at the diner? Maybe she can befriend Ashley and Derek and liven up their story.
    • Melissa Ordway announced she was moved to recurring back in November but is still credited with the contract cast members.
    • I think of Evan as a smarmy bast*rd. Maybe you'll like that description. You certainly have him pegged correctly since he is just a soldier following "Admiral" Iris's marching orders.
    • So far the only interest I've seen from Evan to Amanda has been listening to Iris's orders to go and seduce her.  So far he hasn't been successful... but who knows. Amanda is unbearable at times. Entitled, spoiled... idiotic. Iris... so blatantly manipulating her and Amanda takes the bait. But I guess... when she gets in trouble... she'll have a chance to learn. That's what makes these shows so interesting.    Oh, no, don't worry. You haven't ruined a thing. Evan has not been on my radar that much... he was not one of the characters I was caring particularly... so nothing much has been changed for me. I don't think he has the stuff to ruin Rachel's life. He's just a pretty guy that can follow orders. Iris on the other hand... is dangerous.

P.S Maybe Evan will surprise me. Who knows.
    • The show has gone back to 10/10 entertainment! I'm glad that I was right in feeling that what were experiencing were growing pains. I'm sure they are not over yet, but I'll know that we always comeback to quality drama. I think it's going to be a hell of ride (in a good way) from this moment on. BTG has that magic that not a lot of shows have. I'll update more... when I'm done catching up.
    • So very glad to hear this. Yesterday I suddenly thought; OMG, what about spoilers, have I just  ruined things for Maxim in getting carried away with interest in Evan, who was so well-written & well-acted. BTW, your fan review of this episode was a sight for eyes that had not seen one of these for a little bit too long, LOL!!!  Mitch is also fascinating to me but in his case it's because he was all in with Janice & her nefarious plan & then he did this turnabout we've mentioned & he basically got off scot-free.
