It was a really good show today.

I especially loved Erica's soliloquy about respect and tolerance. I'm so glad they had that woman call Zoe/Zarf a freak, though, because it seemed at first like the whole audience was too accepting of her, imo.

Adam reminded Jamie of how he helped steal little A! :)

Jamie needs to STFU with his ranting about Adam and now his insistence that Amanda tell him what she knows.

Go Erica!

I really enjoyed her on today's show when she stuck up for Zoe after that ignorant woman called her a perv and was totally uncalled for moment and then to top it off she fired the producer who let that negative shrew on the show well good for Erica...it was supposed to be a serious show where everyone accepts someone who is different than them and that woman had no reason being in the audience but I found Erica handled herself well and knew how to answer her and find some sort of connection to the moronic woman. I really enjoyed Erica on today's show

Was I suppossed to be moved by the Jenny drama? I wasn't. The Carey's & Martin's deserve their hell. They have spread this kind of evil before. They didn't think of Bianca and JR falling apart. Their misery is all so beautiful.

Bianca is acting like such a schoolgirl. Beyond that, I liked the interview segment.

Was Zarf/Zoe meant to be like David Bowie or Prince? The story would've worked much better if it were.

I have no words for the music video and performance. I'm somewhere between thinking it was cheesy, dramatic but maybe that works for the character.

Erica's speech had me FF. Sorry... well, no I'm not. It went on just a few MINUTES too long. And I think that video -- as well as the song -- was just horrendous.

Again, I am not feeling any sympathy for the Cartins or the Mareys. I've sang this song many times already, but there is simply NO INVESTMENT in a gaggle of babynappers who are finally paying for what they did to Bianca and JR. And all of the empty "I'll always regret what I did" comments from Babe and Krystal cancel themselves out when they're immediately followed by their justifications and rationalizations. KWAK's horrible line the other day about never intending to hurt the oom-gobs of people she hurt was laughable.

I do like the fact that Adam's being Adam... He's being a force to be reckoned with. It was ever so delightful watching Tad, Jamie and JR get roadblocked by Adam's bodyguards. That was totally an Adam-like thing to do. Very smart. When people render you unconscious, strip you naked, and lock you up in rooms in your own home... YOU GET BODYGUARDS! Those buffoons looked so surprised that, "oh, yeah. Um, we can't just go around grabbing and choking people in their own homes." Seriously, watching Adam roar is phenomenal, because being an Adam fan, watching him be castrated and get zero respect even in his own house from the people who are living off his money, this was way over due. I'll never forget a couple of years ago when Adam had some type of objection concerning the Martins and Opal told him if he didn't like it, then get out -- AND THIS WAS TAKING PLACE IN ADAM'S LIVING ROOM! Ugh!

I hate the New Beginnings segments. Enough said about that.

R Sinclair, I agree that Erica's speech went WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too long. Some producer she has! EVERYONE knows that, in the real TV world, about five minutes of Erica's speech would end up on the chopping block. It's the equivalent of dead air.

Anyway, I was REALLY SURPRISED to learn Erica's producer planted that woman in the audience. I did NOT see that coming.

Although I have to admit, I was REALLY hoping for a "real" moment there. Things could have gotten Sally Jesse Rapael in there if they had gone balls to the wall with a "real" hater.

It has been really good and I've only seen the first half hour!! Zoe and Erica were good. Bobbie Eakes continues to rock my socks!! Adam...Stuart...very good!!

I cannot believe that a few months ago AMC blew chunks and now it's so much better, not the BEST it could be but okay!!

And also when Rosie originally signed on to The View she requested a new set, they said no. Then she saw the way New Beginnings looked and learned it was The View set and said hey if Erica Kane can have that set she can to, or something along those lines. I remember her talking about it!

    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
