Soap Stars that Resemble Each Other

Which actresses or actors on soaps do you think look alike or could really pass as relatives or recasts based on looks.

When I was younger I thought that all of Bo on DOOL women looked alike. Carly bore a resemble to Hope, and Billie (Lisa Rinna) resembled Carly, they all seemed to have maculine facial features or a hard look, I think they could play sisters on another show.

Then Lisa Rinna and Julie Pinson resembled at one point.

The chick from Sunset Beach/BB/OLTL resembled Eileen Davidson.

And this one is a stretch, but I thought that Hope and Kayla used to look alike in the 80's besides the obvious difference in hair color.

Oh yeah and Jason and AJ (Sean Keanon) were good choices to play brothers.

Andrea Hall Gengler and Deidre Hall really resemble each other... :P

But, seriously, even though they are twins, Andrea doesn't look so much like Deidre any more, but they could still make her believable to closely match Deidre.

AMC: Rebecca Budig and the girl playing Annie

Back in their early days on AMC, Susan Lucci & Robin Strasser looked so much alike people wondered if they were sisters.

GL- Bryan Buffington easily looked like he could be Jordan Clarke's son

GH-Julie Berman and Genie Francis

Kristina Wagner and Sonia Satra

Joanna Going (Lisa Grady, AW) used to remind me a lot of Kim Delaney (Jenny Gardner, AMC)

Edited to add:

Jerry verDorn and Tony Call (Herb Callison, OLTL)

Also, I'm not sure how much of this is physical but Kamar deLos Reyes and David Fumero on OLTL strike me very believably as brothers Antonio and Cristian. Maybe it's from working together for years or the Vega family being depicted as close as they are but whatever I've thought about the characters over the years, that portrayal of brotherhood always seemed so realistic to me.

Rebecca Budig and Melissa Claire Egan(Annie and ex-Greenlee, AMC)

Jennifer Ferrin and Jennifer Finnagan from ATWT and B&B

In the beginning I thought Bree Williamson from OLTL, slightly resembled Erin Torpey

Genie Francis and Julie Berman- Perfect mother/daughter casting

I think that Susan Lucci and Alicia Minshew resemble each other somewhat and the two of them do have very similar mannerisms.

I think on Days that Missy Reeves and Ashley Benson were a pretty good fit as mother and daughter. I don't think they were spitting images as some do but there was a resemblance I suppose.

I remember seeing pictures of the old Laura Hortons and how they were rather similar ... Susan Flannery, Susan Oliver and Rosemary Forsythe, not exactly the same but in some pictures the resemblance is striking.

Laura Wright & Stephanie Gatschet - GL did a great job casting mother/daughter here.

Ashley Benson really reminds me of Kirsten Storms.

The chick who plays Willow really reminds me of Arianne Zuker.

Alex Chando looks like a young Terri Colombino with brown hair.

When I first saw Tom Pelphrey, he reminded me of Michael Easton.

    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.

Newsom is a craven opportunist, but his comments today were exactly how better people need to handle Trump.
