Neil is going to be Sharon, Brad and Phyllis worst enemy in some ways...You know how it goes...a mourning husband who turns to the bottle can release a many a truths about folks.

I remember when Brad was all cool with Neil back in the day....Funny how marrying your butt into money continuously and sliming your way into a position can change a fool, I mean a man.... Brad's a fool and I hope the spoilers are true that his marriage won't be the only thing he'll have to worry about.

I've always loved Olivia. I hated her butt however, when she slithered between the sheets with ole Brad the Cad.

Im really shocked by this news that Brad and Neil were best friends. I still cant believe it. All they've done over the past 2 years has been fight or argue about something. They dont seem to show any signs of having shared history

Is this the first mention of Olivia working somewhere else? I always assumed she was still in town, just never talked about. I thought that pic she showed Lily of her mother was absolutely gorgeous. I loved that pic of Dru

And why didnt they bring Mamie back? They mentioned her but that was it. Was here a reason given for why she wasnt around? And are Dru's parents still alive?

Re: Olivia - I had the same feeling as you. Since she just faded into the bakcground after the summer of 2005, one had to assume Liv were still in town...

Why they didn't bring Mamie back was really beyond me. They could have chosen from TWO (although Victoria Rowell only worked opposite Veronica Redd) actresses - one of them surely had time to show up at Y&R... It's just lazy writing/TPTB: same goes for Miguel who's only mentioned but never seen in about 2 years by now!

As for the senior Barbers: I actually don't know, yet I guess both are dead since the early 90s.

Olivia said that Neil told her parents and Aunt Mamie not to come because Dru isn't dead. Still, wouldn't they want to be there for support?

Thats because it was like a send off for a secondary character, not a major star for 17 years. There should've been more emotion considering the amount of lives Drucilla touched. And not bringing back Mamie at least was ridiculous. It was very throw together and I wonder if they'll continue to use Neil once this story is up.

Will he be the next Doug Davidson?

Nah, Neil is more the KAY-type if you know what I mean. Pretty soon Neil will be talking with BlandLilly about her marital problems with pornking Daniel and orgasms or lack thereof...

ALl this musing reminds me that I finally have to watch yesterday's show. LOL!

Leave it to Latham to disregard or respect the rich history of any of the characters she's axed recently. John deserved an extraordinary send off (montage of all the people he was interacting with)

Dru definitely needed to have more than what we got to see....I wanted to see when she first stepped foot in Genoa City....montages of her when she and Neil first fell in love; how he heped her with her chance of being a ballerina; when she first started to model, etc.

    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.
