Could Kimberlin Brown (Sheila Carter) be coming to ATWT?

Sheila has not always been psychotic. She spent lots of years on B&B as a sane member of society (or as sane as you can be on B&B). Making Sheila psychotic has always been about plot and not about character driven material.

I'll tell you that if ATWT where in good shape. I mean great writing and great balance on the show, I might be a little more for it. If this does end up happening and it falls flat, the last thing I want to see is millions of Kimberlin Brown fans upset with yet another CBS show for screwing with their character.

I'm deadset against this move. Under a more capable writer I may be alright...but under Jean and company? No thank you.

I have to agree with you Ryan, I am not to sure myself on whether Jean could even begin to handle the character the right way, but I guess that if this is true we will just have to somehow hope that she does, then again who knows maybe Jean may be gone by the time this is starting, if it is starting.

I was just wondering has anyone else even seen this in there TVGuide's yet, I know it is not on the TVGuide online, so it would have to be in the mag somewhere, and the Luke news was reported last week in a TVGuide so why are they repeating the same thing again in a new issue, maybe the original poster that posted the rumors on the soapcentral board, got the towns mixed up or something???

Yes, and I so don't see P&G wanting to shelve a bunch of unnecessary money for this character alone. Occasional crossovers might happen between the CBS soaps, but let's not forget that Bell and P&G are two separate companies.

Hell P&G didn't want to sell the rights to AW's Felicia Gallant to ABC, I'm sure they wouldn't want to shelve out some unnecessary money for this character alone from Bell Productions.

I was wondering the same exact thing. I went to the TVugide site and couldnt find it anywhere but noticed the thing about Luke was copy and pasted which is against SOC's rules so I had re-word her post so I just re-worded the whole thing because I figured she had copy and pasted. Now though I am wondering if she typed out what was in the magizine if it was in there.

Kimberlin played a character named "Shelly" but you could tell that it was Sheila! It worked well. She was the friend that Marley (now played by Ellen Wheeler) made at Willowdale (the nut house). It was only for a bunch of episodes but it was a nice treat. I think it was in February 1999.

ATWT should utilize who they have now. I love KB and Sheila, but think she would be out of place in Oakdale. If there was better writing and a good set up, then I might change my mind. I would rather see Sheila on B&B.

    • I really have no problem with Kai as a character or with the actor. The problem is putting together two very nice people -- Kai and Trina. Neither of them has a bad side, neither of them has a devil on the shoulder, neither of them is impulsive. I think that's a problem in a soap relationship. Yeah, I agree. All this freaking out might make sense if Lulu wanted to do a tabloid expose on BLQ's LOVE CHILD. We have no indication that's the case.
    • So Sonni would have somebody to talk to who she wasn't conspiring with (Will or Alan)? Alex kept telling Sonni how important her friends were...when she had virtually no friends. Instead they created loyal servants like Jane and Vera to give Alex people to play off of. They did that with Iris on AW, but Vivien was mostly there for comic relief Alex keeping Marah's paternity a secret was absurd. But I still love the scene between Alex and Alan where he convinces her by reminding her how they protected each other from their abusive father. Chris and Bev ATE that scene. Unfortunately, that took place only a few months before he exited the show...always thought they could have built on that, explored more how being Brandon's children screwed them both up. Maybe even used it as an explanation for the way their relationship could constantly swing from hatred to love. Instead of it being merely dictated by the plot.
    • The first one is Cass Winthrop dressed as Krystle Lake on Another World (not from his original creation of the character to hide from the loan shark Tony the Tuna, but at a romance convention trying to find out what had happened to Felicia who was missing). The second one is also Another World, Jake McKinnon as Doris although I don't recall what his purpose was.
    • I know there was one brief scene in the summer of 1989 where Lillian did mention Calla.. but in relation to her past relationship to Ross and it was to Roger while he was a patient at Cedars.  I think he was trying to pump her for information on Ross.. and for some reason, Calla's name came up.   I could see perhaps Beth mentioning that her mother Lillian was visiting Calla.. but not exactly giving any sort of details as to the going ons in Calla's life off screen.

    • They're neither great nor terrible AFAIK, but it is more a question of the streaming numbers in this day and age vs. actual TV airings. The Chibnall era reminded me much more of the crisis years, but I do think it's a very real possibility now as well due to the streaming bubble collapse affecting the show and its prospects.
    • ANYTHING to get her off the screen..she COULD have been interesting if she and Van had a few face offs..(there was a mild one of her going back to work...but I wanted something meatier "Bitch, I am Vanessa Chamberlain and I don't take advice from someone who followed the..career path you did!" I did like Alex's outright disdain for her.
    • Thanks @Vee for the commentary.    I haven’t even watched this season yet after  I couldn’t get past the couple episodes last season…like it was too Disneyified for my taste, although I did think it was a least better than the Chibnall era (but so is a lot of things). I’ll probably go back and binge it now. Hoping this season ends on a high note. I did read the ratings are terrible. As it stands I’m beginning to feel like what long time DW fans felt with S26 in 1989.
    • Yes, they are all on contract. Next.
