April 4, 200718 yr Member I'd welcome Thaao Penghlis back as Tony DiMera. For the DiMera storyline to work DAYS needs to have familiar DiMeras. I do wish Joe Mascolo would return as Stefano. If he won't agree, then re-cast with someone like Charles Keating (ex-Carl AW, ex-PORT CHARLES).
April 4, 200718 yr Member I've had several sources stating that Thaao Penghlis and Steve Blackwood are returning in June. Stefano should be back as well, but whether it's Joe or not, I don't know yet.

April 4, 200718 yr Member I hate the sound of Steve Blackwood returning. That is too reminiscent of the caricature Tony of JER's ilk and him needing a stooge. Hate the sound of that and hope it's not true about Steve's return.

Stefano should be back as well, but whether it's Joe or not, I don't know yet. That is awesome but I wish Bart stayed away. He ruins the very essence of the Dimera's IMO. I think if you are hearing Stefano is returning then it must be Joe. They tried to get him back in Fall but he wanted something more long-term. I think the Brady/Dimera feud story will go on for at least 3 months or more (I hope longer but who knows how they will do it) so I think Joe would agree to that and I think he would want to be here for this big story that would go down as one of the biggest Days stories ever if done right. Corday needs to go for the jugular here and bringing Joe and Thaoo back would be a good step. It's too bad about Eileen but I don't know how she would fit into this anyway as far as the story. Anna would fit IMo because she was there in the 80's and played a pivotal role. I know back in November 2005 SOD reported that Leann Hunley was among the actors at the 40th anniversary party indicating a desire to return to Days along with SN and MBE. I would love for Hunley to return too as she would be a familiar face along with Tony and Stefano. This is a big chance for Days and I pray they don't blow it. This could be HUGE.
April 4, 200718 yr Member I really don't want Tony back. JER absolutely butchered him the last go around, maybe even past the point of redemption. Methinks that wasn't Tony the last go-round in Salem. Longtime viewers will know what I mean by that.

April 4, 200718 yr Author Member Puh-lease! Andre died in Aremid. Actually, Andre died before that in quicksand. But with DAYS, the Aremid death could easily be reversed, but why go that route? Why take the easy way out?
April 4, 200718 yr Member Actually, Andre died before that in quicksand. But with DAYS, the Aremid death could easily be reversed, but why go that route? Why take the easy way out? Andre didn't die in the quicksand. He somehow escaped, and was eventually convinced by Tony to stand in for him in his suicide/murder to frame John.

April 4, 200718 yr Member I totally know what you mean. I know it's a copout but if it gets us the real Tony I am cool with it. You mean the Tony who killed himself to frame John for his "murder"?
April 4, 200718 yr Member You mean the Tony who killed himself to frame John for his "murder"? No. I mean the Tony of the 80's and the Tony B&C gave us when he first returned in 2002. Even Tony when he first returned during JER's first run was pretty good until his last few months. That is the Tony I am talking about. The Tony that became such a popular Days character.
April 4, 200718 yr Author Member I'm just not a fan of the Andre scenerio. I have faith in Hogan that he can pull something more interesting out of his hat than the same old "It was Andre" routine. How many times is that going to occur?
April 4, 200718 yr Member The easiest explanation is that Tony's blood disease was never cured as he thought (perhaps only in remission?), and it left him mentally unstable.
