DAYS: Who had the biggest massacre? JER or Sheffer?

JER's a better writer than Higley. He brought them back and gave them one last hurrah.

Rion, you're confusing "hurrah" with "diarrhea spray."

 Okay. One last hurrah that wasn't needed.

Perhaps not, but could you imagine the backlash if Craig and Nancy didn't attend their daughter's wedding?

Craig and Nancy should have been at that wedding. Any writer would bring back the bride's parents. Don't praise Reilly for that.

Exceptional writing for daytime is a thing of the past, and that is largely due to the number of years a show has been on the air. Current writers who are genuinely making an effort are basically bastardizing the old stuff for today's characters. I just don't think there is anything left to write. We now rely on couples to provide the entertainment.

A writer should not be considered bad because of who he/she chooses to write off. I would consider it an unpopular decision. Back in the day, when a big character was killed, you'd knew the story behind it would be very good. Nowadays, if something like this happens, it's due to budget cuts and the exit never happens. The character, in most cases, just vanishes.

Hogan is a really good writer, but he does have his issues. However, no one, AND I MEAN NO ONE is as lazy and disgusting as Reilly. You can't be HIS kind of lazy for daytime. Reilly does not develop stories or characters. He uses one stunt after the next and they all fizzle. He does not pay off his audience and his characters all end up looking like jackasses. He does not even make an effort. Reilly repeats everything, which would not be so bad if the show were older. He's obsessed with nonconsensual sex and violence, and I truely believe once Trassions if off the air, daytime will smell a tad better...

I'm hoping the stench of that twisted madman won't last long.

Corday put his foot down with his precious Broe. That is why they got a big beautiful wedding with family. If it was up entriely to Reilly, no way would Broe had a happy ending.

I agree with RionPassions. I'm sick of all this JER bashing and Sheffer praising.

You're sick of people voicing differing opinions?

Reilly deserves to be bashed.

So true. And it isn't like everyone is blind to Sheffer's faults; they sure have voiced their opinion against his sometimes dullness. There is just no comparison between the two.

Agreed.

Days, at the moment, is rather dull.

Still, I would take character-based dullness over that hallucinogen-esque shroomy acid trip of a show that Days became under JER's pen.

I AGREE!!!!

DAYS may be boring right now, but what do you expect the show to be when characters need 15 years worthy character development. Hogan can only do so much.

I love you Kenny :P

Well said and I totally agree with you.

Sheffer has his faults but Reilly was just on a huge acid trip during his last stint at DAYS. It was totally horrendous.
