I really loved how Opal was crying with Tad...and explaining to him how she fears Palmer won't get over Dixie's death - and that she won't be able to do anything for him. It was touching, and I loved how Tad tried to calm her concerns. Great acting by Jill Larson - and I'm convinced those scenes were Amanda Beall's doing.

I can't believe Ethan was only 24 when he died...hmm.

So Babe is dead - and I'm glad she isn't in on this death prank. I feel bad for Krystal. Great Colby/Krystal bonding scenes too.

Zoe is really digging into JR - which she has every right to, considering how JR used her to get custody of Little A over Babe.

Sad day - loving the Wildwind scenes though with our Wildwind bunch. It is nice to see everyone accepting Zoe (minus ignorant Del).

Awww, Kathy said "Emma has a new daddy, I want Tad to be mine!" and then she kisses him on the cheek. Here starts the Kate storyline again...

I used to love Zarf/Zoe but everytime he ocmes onscreen these days, I'm just rolling my eyes. He has worn out his welcome for me. I hate JR too, but Zoe/Zarf has only been in town a minute.

This is gonna sound harsh, but I'm glad Krystal is not in on the ruse. Maybe she will be taught a lesson.

I agree - and personally I think she's now paid for her crimes against Bianca during the babyswitch. She did jailtime and was made to believe her daughter was dead. She's paid and redeemed in my eyes.

Babe on the other hand....lol

Colby is once again impressing me today. Great Krystal/Colby scenes, and I liked how Colby said she called Liza.

The Annie/Jonathan flirting begins today! That last scene was...interesting.

Colby is growing on me too. She looks like a mini Reese Witherspoon. She has truly grown into the role; especially now that the writers are writing her as more than just a brat.

As for Zoe/Zarf, why does everyone have to be "I Love you" or "I hate you". Can't they just not like him? He is so annoying to me these days.

I liked today's show today. I had minor issues with Colby and Jonathan but they were small so I got threw it. I did like the whole show one of the best shows we had in a while IMO. Zoe was amazing for digging into JR it was totally deserved. I liked Zendell and Ryannie today. The wildwind group was fun too. However I think Del is a jerk.

I am going to say that Krystal doesn't deserve to think that her child is dead. No mother does. So I can't feel it's deserved more over I think both Krystal and Babe have payed and have had their own various forms of karma thrown back at them. The baby switch is over for me and I'm just ready to call it finito.

Josh and Babe were cute today. He was totally sweet and he just keeps on proving what a better person he is then JR. Overall I thought it was a good episode. I didn't like how Colby kept on trying to "replace Babe" with herself and I felt that wasn't needed. More over I felt Jon should have just left Ryan and Annie alone.

I was really pissed off today at how it seemed the sole reason for Babe's fake death was to protect her from J.R..... Josh was pushing my buttons so much today. I can't wait until Babe finds out what they all did and I hope she totally comes down on Josh hard. I hope this truly does end one of the worst couples in recent AMC history.

I enjoyed the majority of today's show. Opal and Tad's talk reminded me of golden AMC.... I can only hope we see more of her and Palmer. In the old days, today her concern for Palmer would be the springboard to a developing storyline... not the case anymore unfortunately :( Oh well.

I loved the Wildwind Wake. Di and Tad FINALLY had a one on one talk. This has been needed since Dixie died and I am glad the writers finally did it.

Meh overall decent episode, still though majorly pissed that our so called Babe break only lasted two friggin days.

As much as I resent this story without Dixie, I still will tune in when Tad finds out that Kathy is Kate (and then probably be completely done with this show). However, this comment by Kathy seems contrived and ridiculous even for a soap. Her adopted father hasn't even been gone for 2 months (Emma didn't have hers around for over a year). Plus, Jamie is acting as a great father figure to Kathy and he is always around and protecting her from monsters with a tennis racket and sleeping in bed with her and her new "mother figure", Julia. Kids that age can't readily determine the age difference in young and middle-aged adults so there really is no reason why she wouldn't want Jamie to be her new father (except that when he becomes her brother it would confuse her - LOL!)

The Last Castle Ryan

So he is now in the castle known as Wildwind or Weirdwind whichever you wish to call it and goes up to see Emma's new room but unfortunately he does not reminisce on all the good times he spent in the turret with his princess Gillian and what a shame Ryan has pretty much just forgotten all about her it is as if she never existed and without her look what he has become yep a bigger sanctimonious hypocrite than Roseanne Barr's a$$ after eating some Ho Hos, Twinkies, Arse Cheeks, and just about everything that she can get her fat and chubby little hands on right about now. So what is Ryan's purpose for being at the castle of Wildwind? He was never that close to either Babe or Dixie and they were two women who he did not come to the rescue of like he has done on numerous occasions and make people throw up so much they lose weight and turn anorexic and can be called Sir and Madam Bones a Lot. Should Ryan walk in with a "St. Ryan of the Dynamimte Kiddo Underpants" sign so people know where to go to hide from the dufus? More like would Ryan get a clue? Stay tuned!

Today totally sucked IMO. It was a boring and agenda-driven mess.

I think today was the last time we will ever see Opal....ever. If they hadn't fired Cady she would never have been asked back for a few shows in the first place. And her last line to Tad about making sure he takes care of his heart sounded like the end.

I hate Josh & Babe. These two characters drag the show down so much. Last week was decent and it was because they weren't on. They have no chemistry, Josh is too bland to be considered a character (he's just a perpetual plot device, he's whatever they need him to be) and I'm currently surrounded by at least 6 pieces of office equipment that are better actors than Colin.

    • I think Cheryl was essentially replaced by Josie, and it seems likely that Lemay wanted to bring the Frames back into the picture and for a variety of reasons that it would be McKinnons who would make way for them. Cheryl didn't really get many layers -- she was pretty and kind and sweet and faded into the background so that Scott could participate in the AIDS storyline with Dawn. Looking at the AWHP, other than (not very) shockingly being in love with her mother's adopted son Scott, Cheryl apparently went out with Sam and flirted with much-too-old-for-her John Hudson and MJ's ex-boyfriend/pimp Chad. I know MJ told Mary that she had been a prostitute, but did she tell Cheryl and did she tell anyone about Chad's pimping?
    • I feel the same way about Melissa Reeves' Jennifer. She just makes the show feel like home by her presence alone. I am perfectly okay with them coming in every once and awhile, which probably fits Reeves' schedule better anyway. They're connections to Salem are still there: JJ, the grandkids, Jack still owning half of The Spectator ... they're perfect recurring characters.
    • Hahaha. Jean Hackney, Angelica Nero, and the Falcon Crest henchwomen were all straight out of a James Bond movie.
    • My hunch is what you've described. JFP is likely back working on transitioning the show to a new studio and embracing new technology for its production model.
    • The woman who was the co-chair of Latinas for Trump is now complaining about his targeting immigrants that she thought were "safe." I also read a puff piece from yet another "insider" journalist who lives to normalize fascists - this one with a tech bro who was venting off the record because he thought voting for Trump was cool and would show up the Democrats and maybe we'd get Greenland, but now he's getting upset.  These people still support Trump, and Republicans, they just want to make sure they get credit for being respectable. And they will get it.
    • I really do wish someone could. Just a few characters in very simple backdrops, with very real problems that are just a little larger than life, like the '50s and '60s. All the characters having a level of dignity or respect. And their inner lives are what dominate the story, even if there are outside forces at play.
    • It's a lesson to never be loyal because once your use is up, you're shown the door. MSW was the only bright spot for CBS for awhile, and once they were back on top... they promptly sabotaged the show as a repayment for all that the show had done for the network.
    • The show made a mistake in not bringing in more McKinnon kids, specifically bringing back Ben. Kathleen was leaving, and while I like you am very fond of Sally Spencer as MJ, that didn't seem to be a common view. They also decimated the character in a truly sick storyline. So that just left Cheryl.
    • Between Gwen and Cat, the show often seems to side with those who cause lots of cruelty to Jack and Jennifer. I am half-surprised that the show hasn't brought Peter Blake back for more of the same.  I don't really know if there is a purpose for them in Salem now, but I do feel a sense of stability and rightness when Melissa Reeves is back in the role of Jennifer and back in the Horton house, in spite of...well, a lot of offcamera stuff we all know perfectly well.
    • I like to call her an FC-reject character
