Well... so much for my instincts. Babe is alive and Kendall is with her which puts her in the Casino, I would think. I was not moved by the funeral.... until Krystal's outburst at Babe's coffin. Totally lost it then. :( Guess it really is the end for Dixie.

Bobbie Eakes is a great actress, but Krystal is the biggest C-U-N-T ever to hit Pine Valley! How dare she lay into JR when he would have had nothing to blackmail Babe with if Krystal weren't such a lying whore. I was hoping Erica would smack her around at the funeral for everything she and her babydoll put the Kane women through.

Bianca is now officially dead to me.

I would say it was nice to see Marian, Stuart, Joe, Myrtle, Opal, & Palmer, but I really wanted each of them to get up and speak about Dixie, as well. What is the point of just showing them sitting there?

You're right, Darcy, this funeral wasn't even 1/1000th as good as the one in 2002 when Dixie was presumed dead.

The ending could have been classic soap if it were Dixie alive instead.

28 Days Ryan

Days 1-10

I lie here awake at night wondering where my precious Green Butterfly has gone off to and hoping she has not turned into an actual butterfly and ant mixed and calling her a ButterAnt that would be too drastic to see. I have to change my diaper after delivering Dynamite Kiddo poop in them and realize there is a rash larger than the Eiffel Tower humping the Arc D'Triomphe. What a boring and miserable way to live

Days 11-20

I'm here learning the words of Spanish to romance Annie and also come across the word "mujerzuela" which means "s1ut" and it has my picture right there next to the word. I get visions of jumping off a bridge and going to Dynamite Kiddo Heaven to be attacked by a five a$$ed mountain lion. Oh how the world is better off without me

Days 21-28

I get a call from Green Butterfly where she told me to go hump myself to death and do the whole world a lot of good. She has now met a guy who specializes in making soap out of semen yes he has the talents I tell you. And again I still suck and need to let go of my inner child.

Good FLIPPING Lord!

I could see if you were a MyNetworkTV fan, a B&B fan, or even a GL/ATWT purist(that prefer to watch the show instead of listen to it). But AMC is repeated AD NAUSEUM on SOAPnet! If you're that big of a fan, subscribe to digital cable!

I don't mean to sound rude or unkind, but SOAPnet has left fans with no excuse to miss their favorites no matter what.

And I saw the episode...trust me. It was ALL BABE PROPPING with Clay Aiken in drag singing a song. Pretty much a lackluster end to the memory of one of Pine Valley's most memorable characters. Dixie deserved to have that funeral by herself.

Dixie got screwed. There is really no other way of putting it. Babe got most of the attention and then is the one revealed to be alive, as we all knew.

I mean the funeral was sad and I choked up when Tad was speaking about Dixie. At least we got that. He could have been blabbing on about Babe too.

Bianca forgiving Babe... no shock because it basically happend 2 years ago.

Zoe was looking great today! Best she's looked so far and I really thought the song was touching. It was a good episode in regards to having the whole cast on and I loved the J.R/Krystal confrontation.... the acting is superb especially from Bobbie Eakes but I am still irked, pissed and disgusted that Dixie's story ended like this.

I'll never get over her death, I just won't and its things like this that prevent that from happening. Die Babe, Die.

    • They weren't in town, but Fletcher worked at the paper (and we saw anniversary headlines for the 50th, although I don't remember if Roger was one of them), and I'd think Alex would have at least heard of him due to the damage he did to Spaulding only a few years before her return to the fold. I know I have to remember it's not real life, of course.
    • YES. The videos being uploaded to Spauldingfield are almost to the point where Alan is reintroduced. They're already talking about the guy he pretends to be, and yes, he returns at a masked ball. In fact, that masked ball is almost beat for beat the same as the masked ball where Alex was introduced! Get a new schtick. Before the Kobe era, that's pretty much what they did. Characters would just show up. Maybe other characters would talk about them for a while--the Chamberlains, Tony, Maureen, Andy, Kelly, Carrie--but then they would just appear. When Hope came back, she simply knocked on Bert's door and said something like, "Hi, Grandma, I'm home again." No particular fanfare. Sometimes it would be a bit dramatic--Jennifer and Morgan were introduced when Mike accidentally crashed into their car, for instance, and Alan and Elizabeth were introduced through Jackie's flashbacks when she was remembering giving up Phillip for adoption. Nola was involved in the Roger return. Roger's return in 1980 was very dramatic, but in a way that made total sense. He was trying to kidnap a child, so dressing up as a clown did not seem crazy. The mask bit was not only silly, it didn't even make sense. Alex never knew him, so there was no reason for him to be masked in front of her. And he didn't have to be skulking around SF for months. Again, I will cut Long a little slack--it was not her idea to bring back Roger, she was told to do it. She never wrote for the character. It was something that was not planned. They originally went to Zaslow to offer him the role of Alan. He, of course, turned them down because that was a ridiculous idea, but then he suggested coming back as Roger. At such short notice, it's not strange his return was not handled well.
    • Eh...but neither had been in town. Know the name Roger Thorpe? Sure. But Alex would have gone crazy trying to memorize all of Alan's co-conspirators/lovers/wives and Fletch didn't even know Roger/Adam was on the island, IIRC. But who knew or should've known each other is always a little dicey when people come back to town.
    • I wouldn't call Tomas' cuts a modern cut. They appear to be a slim/extreme slim cut⏤cut slimmer down the sides, with a higher armhole, which pulls up/out, depending on the fit of the person's body. Again, I feel like Ms Featherstone is buying to fit the wrong parts of the body; instead of buying to fit their widest parts (shoulders), she's buying things to fit their middle/waist (which is the easiest to ultimately fix without a complete re-cut), and it shows in the finished product. And the only reason it irks me is because I worked in suit sales for nearly ten years, and I notice these things immediately. The fashion(s) on this soap are miles ahead of three of the four others (I like the fashions from Y&R), but the tailoring is a choice, especially where the men are concerned.
    • There probably would have been a good chance they knew of him, especially with his ties to Spaulding and his being involved in so much scandal (meaning there would be plenty of photos and articles around they both would have seen), but I agree the mask was silly, clearly just a TV moment.

    • I think all the suits are fit too tight, except for Jon Lindstrom's. DC lawyers/doctors are not all LA fashion elites. Yes, maybe Tomas would have a more modern cut to his suit, but an established guy like Bill wouldn't go around looking like that lonely button on his jacket was ready to explode constantly.
    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
