I do too, Mitch! I didn't watch DAYS lately, but I do hope they rise! :D

I also hope that GH can at least stay the same! I think they deserve it and I think it's great right now (no matter how unpopular that opinion seems to be around here.. lol)

WTG GH. I just hope you keep holding on to those dailys. Even last week the excitement slowed down and it was more character stuff and you rose. Great dailys too - not one under 3.1

Glad AMC rose. Last week the show was really good. I am glad they got a reward for it. The show still has lots of problems but they held my attention the whole week.

Good to see those dailys for GL except the 2.1. The rest of the days were really good and helped them to hold on to that 2.3

Glad to see Y&R go up some too. I am loving it so much right now.

Glad for ATWT too. They are really getting better and this week has been fantastic so hopefully they will rise more with the death and all this week.

Lskreet - is that supposed to be a 2.6 for Days or is the 2.5 right? You have it tied and the others have a 2.6. Just wondering.

I know alot wanted a rise for Days, and although the daily shows are better I don't see them rising again until the stories get a bigger kick than they are getting right now. I love it still but the stories just remind me of what we have been getting on ATWT for the last few months. They are okay and the actors are good but they are just boring.

Wait, I just realized... Y&R has +.3?? And is OVER 4,6?? I don't think they've reached 4,6 in a long time! I'm sure BB just got the boost from YR...

And I realized that DAYS is the only soap to fall... crap.. :(

Okay, if my data is correct, YR was last time at 4,6 in March '04 (although they did hit 4,7 in December 04). But still! This is huge for YR!

For me B&B has been picking steam back up the last few weeks. The Nick stuff has me intrigued, and I did enjoy Betty White's guest stint back on the show. I don't remember anything that really stuck out last week, but the show just has been more enjoyable for me lately.

And as much as I don't like the Rick/Phoebe proposed pairing - at least it is putting some tension in the STephanie/Brooke relationship again - those 2 should not be so lovey dovey.

I am so upset with Days numbers. I have been loving the show. But I do agree with you, SteveFrame. People aren't going to start tuning back in until something huge happens.

B&B has been great. Can't wait for Eileen Davidson to start. When is her first air date again?

Yeah Days was the only one to fall, but I think ATWT should be at 2.5 instead of the 2.6 listed which doesn't give them but a .1 rise. The dailys are listed as the same as Days so they are probably both at 2.5

I was expecting Days to stay the same just because of the college ratings now. I was really shocked that it fell with those being counted.

I didn't expect it to go up. Last week was still boring for me. This week is some better but I still am enjoying other shows more (even shows that don't have the daily quality that Days has). As Bree and others have said Days just needs to put a kick in the stories.

As I said right now other shows stories are just more exciting and they are getting a boost for it.

Please see this post: https://bsky.app/profile/shallotpeel.bsky.social/post/3lqkrryu54226 I've chosen to put this here instead of the Classic Thread because it is now with the appearance of recast Michael that this has come up. Different places online, including at least one podcast, remarks have been made about how remarkable it is that he is without facial scarring. Other fans say it was clear from the first that he did not have facial burns. What is included in this post is 2 screengrabs where you can see his face at the hospital & a very quick edit of that day in the hospital.
    • Put me in the LOVE KMH camp. As a poster alluded to above, her detractors seem to come from people who first experienced the 80s Emily actress. And that's often the case with soaps, myself included. I enjoy the original actor so much that I just never take to the recast. However, KMH played Emily far longer than the original - for almost 20 years - and when she had great material, she was great. I get the sense she didn't like playing the whiny oh-woe-is-me Emily which was all the material she got from about 1996 until she took over the Intruder in late '99/early '00 and got to play a stronger kiss-ass woman who didn't care what anyone thought of her. (Some would call that a bitch but, if a man was in that role, he'd just be called a smart and savvy businessman.) Her relationship with Hal was great. The transformation was done realistically and I thoroughly enjoyed those years the best out of all. Once the writers decided to break up those two, they went back to writing Emily half the time as whiny and pathetic. I preferred when the writers made her stronger.
    • Hahaha - I do. I've always been the type, though, that can't miss anything. I get FOMO, so I'll not skip episodes or fast forward anything. There are only a few TV shows I've dropped because they got so bad vs. sticking it out to the end.  The promise that GL 1997 is better is what keeps me going. I especially want to see the fallout of Blake's lie about her twins and then Annie's descent which I believe won Watros's Emmy.
