Members Y&RWorldTurner
Maybe there's some truth to the Rowell/Stafford hate. I found this comment Vicky made about Michelle, which can be interpreted in many ways, I guess. Victoria Rowell (on sharing scenes with Michelle Stafford on Y&R): We have great on-screen chemistry. Unfortunately, the writers aren’t writing us together. I don’t think Michelle wants to do comedic scenes. I will say this in her defence. When you put the energy that we put into something, and there’s no category supporting it at the Daytime Emmys - a comedy category, which we would win hands down - maybe it’s not pushing her in the direction she wants Phyllis to go in. I love working with her and I continue to ask for those scenes.

Members KLN
So in other words, "If it won't win me an Emmy, I don't want to play it." WTF?! I just lost alot of respect, LoL
Members Y&RWorldTurner
Anyone remember Michelle's 1997 Emmy win for Outstanding Supporting Actress? Rowell was nominated as well and gave Michelle a big hug when her name was announced. It was probably during Stafford's second stint on Y&R where that confrontation happened. Members Darn
Wait, for who? Michelle Stafford? Because I'm quickly losing respect for her on a daily basis. And can I just say that I hate that guy over on TVGuide, "just leave her there". [!@#$%^&*] you, dude.
Members DruRocks
It's easy to take words or actions, twist them around, and make something bad out of it. See, I can take Jeanne Cooper's action for submitting herself into the pre-nom's, even though she had virtually nothing to, as cold, selfish, and abrupt. But I'm not. And just because her agent didn't deny the pre-nom debacle, doesn't mean he confirmed it either. So, why are we jumping to conclusions?
Members Gray Bunny
If Brown is siding with Rowell, then you better add Hunter Tylo and maybe even John Lindstrom over to the Bregman/Stafford side. Now THAT would be interesting. (Remember that shove & bickering that Kimberlin Brown and John Lindstrom did before presenting a SOD Award a few years back? I don't care what lame excuse she gave in SOD years later saying they were trying to create publicity for PC. Clearly, those two were PISSED at each other. Kinda funny, watching it.) Members Chris B
The entire Pre-Noms were clearly playing favorites. They probably felt bad that Eileen Davidson was fired so they gave her a pity nomination. Darcy Rose Byrnes over Adrienne Leon and Davetta Sherwood? PUHLEASE! There is no defending these Pre-Noms! I just find it sick that the show basically ran her off. Victoria has always been so devoted to Y&R and she pours her heart and soul into every scene, no matter how little. Compare that to the overrated Michelle Stafford who turned Phyllis into a GigglyHeffa this year. No matter how bad the writing may have gotten for Dru, you cannot tell me that Rowell didn't give 200%. She, along with Jeanne Cooper and Jess Walton should be running this show. Y&R is going to have a huge, gaping hole without her.
Members DruRocks
I don't understand why we have to knock down other actors. I'd rather we defend Rowell on her own merits. BTW I'm curious to which category Victoria placed herself in?
Members Chris B
DruRocks, I'm telling it like it is in regards to Stafford. She did a terrible job with Phyllis for most of the year, but obviously she's popular and works with a lot of actors so she got the nomination. If it weren't for the elevator scenes she'd have nothing to submit. As far as I'm concerned the Pre-Noms were 100% about who has the most friends and they SHOULD be ashamed of themselves. Doesn't matter if Rowell submitted herself in Lead or Supporting because there is space in both categories. Jeanne Cooper did absolutely nothing last year, same for Eileen Davidson in Supporting. Rowell could take either of those spots, the other should go to Sharon Case who was phenomenal all year long.
