She was amazing as Virginia on SuBe. i do not want this to happen at all, but was just putting it out there as a suggestion... if somebody has to replace Rowell they have to be darn good!

I liked her on SB, but Dru is Victoria to me. Not every role should or needs to be recast.

I think I'd like it better if they didn't recast Dru, and just give Victoria the opportunity to return at her own time...they've done that for her in the past.

Yep. That's how I feel. If they want to bring in another African American actress then find. But it doesn't have to be a replacement for Dru. I wonder how they'll write her off though???

I'm sure she'll be heading over to Europe or something like that to work the Newman office, which would put strain on her marriage and they will eventually divorce again and in the end the Carmen story was never needed! blah.

Dominique Jennings is a fantastic actress, but I can't see her playing Dru. Victoria Rowell IS Dru!

But I do wonder why a soap like Y&R or PASSIONS never bothered to cast her. She would have been great as a rival for Dru or Olivia or even as Liz, Eve's sister(And I LOVE Amelia Marshall, don't get me wrong).

Temp recast maybe. But not anything longer than an emergency recast. Victoria Rowell is Dru. Anyone else playing her would be a pale imitation.

I couldn't stand that chick and NO. No way in hell. This is Vicky's role, even the suggestion of a recast makes me ill.

I wouldn't want to see her as Drucilla. I'd love it if the show brought her on as a whole new character. I think Jennings would do well on Y&R. Of course, The Hack would have to be out of her current position for this to happen, or else I would probably hate the character instantly (Adrian, Jana, David Chow).

Dru CANNOT be recast. They need to just recast Olivia (with Renee Jones) or bring back Tonya Lee Williams.

No way. Tonya Lee Williams IS Olivia to me as well. You guys know that part of the reason for Y&R's success is there familiar faces.

Actually, if there MUST be a recast, Dominique would be the closest fit.

That said, the role belongs to Rowell.

I loved DJ on "Sunset Beach" but yeah, a recast isn't necessary.

The show has survived without Drucilla before and can do so again, but Y&R needs to do something. They are losing favorites left and right.
