AMC – Ryan & Annie Make Love!

Valentine’s Day is bittersweet for many this week on ALL MY CHILDREN. Some couples revel in their passion, while others face an uncertain future.

Cupid, Draw Back Your Bow...

Grief over Dixie’s death threatens to crush JR and Krystal as the rest of the town celebrates Valentine’s Day. But after Adam comforts his wife, and Stuart spends time with his nephew, the spirits of everyone improve. Elsewhere, Zach and Kendall take their minds off the Satin Slayer case by going bowling. The day doesn’t go quite so well for Bianca, who admits to Zoe that she’s missing Maggie! Of course, Zoe has a lot on her mind as well; after much soul-searching, the transgender rock star decides to think about making the medical transition to biological womanhood.

...And Let Your Arrow Go...

Ryan and Annie feel the love when they give in to their attraction and sleep together! Mrs. MacDermott’s feelings are stronger than ever the morning after, but she continues with her plans to move out of Layery’s penthouse. An enamored Ryan shakes off the afterglow long enough to use the killer’s listening devices to beg for Kendall’s life. Meanwhile, the Wild- wind roommates, Tad and other townsfolk mark the romantic holiday by thinking of loved ones.

Straight To My Lover’s Heart For Me

Erica and the newly returned Barbara come to verbal blows over Babs’ easy, breezy approach to motherhood. And when the NEW BEGINNINGS host tries to enlist Jack’s help in tracking down Josh, the special prosecutor has no time for his philandering wife! Barbara witnesses the Montgomery’s interaction and flaunts her special affinity for Jack in Erica’s face, which sends La Kane straight to Jeff’s bed! Sean realizes his mother’s up to no good just as Bianca scolds Erica for being unfaithful. Looks like a big box of chocolates won’t smooth things over this year!

AMC – Heading for a Wedding? Annie and Ryan went from first date to first child in record time.

As ALL MY CHILDREN's Ryan and Annie continue figuring out their complicated relationship this week, headwriter Megan McTavish says that there's no guarantee that the fledgling couple is a sure thing. The revelation that Emma is Ryan's daughter has the pair in a quandary. "I don't think it's a given that it's going to make them settle down as a happy family." she says, citing Annie's need to rely on herself in the wake of Terry's death. "Annie is so determined to stand strong and not take advantage of Ryan" McTavish adds. As for the virile Mr. Lavery? "I think he has already fallen in love with Emma" she says, "He is also afraid of putting pressure on Annie." The scribe says that Annie and Ryan's struggle is a refreshing example of good versus good. “It’s not just a simple kind of thing because you’ve got two very good people trying to work out something that will be best for the child”

Meet Tad The Mad!

Dixie’s demise last month came as a blow to AMC fans. Headwriter Megan McTavish gave Soap In Depth the heads-up on how Tad will go on without his soulmate.

The In Depth Story: Vengeance fuels the grieving man this month, and McTavish says fans can expect to see him running on nothing but determination as he searches for the Satin Slayer “He is very committed to finding the person who did this. Tad will certainly be in on the hunt and the climax and all of that. Tad is filling himself with that investigation,” she says. “I think it is very hard for him to be living at this moment.”

While life currently isn’t pleasant for any member of the Martin family, McTavish previews that Tad’s real struggle will begin when the serial killer eventually is apprehended.

“What will happen when the killer is caught, when life goes on? That’s the arc of the next story for Tad.” She says. “But at this point, his priority in to find the bastard who did this and put them where they belong.”

And even though Dixie’s death by pancakes seems a much more final end to the character than her off screen car accident several years ago, McTavish says that the Tad and Dixie love story could continue in other forms. “It’s the end of a chapter. But,” the scribe laughs, “there’s always other chapters.”
