I tried to leave out some of my favorites(i.e. BEACH) and make a mix of a good schedule(that would be friendly to the average soap fan) combined with some of my favorites, and added to the favorites people have been dying for. I'd like to see them get rid of shows like Dallas, Melrose Place, 90210, etc. In their place, I'd like to see shows like Sunset Beach, Loving, The Edge of Night. I would also bring back SoapTalk, which was our only forum for seeing our favorite soap stars interviewed. In the afternoons, I would show old episodes of AMC, OLTL, Y&R, GH and Days. On the weekends, in addition to the 5-hour AMC, OLTL, GH, Y&R, DAYS marathons, I'd show 'themed' classic episodes. One week could be a marathon about "best b!tches," and so on and so forth. There's a whole ocean of classics to pull from... you'd never run out! And can you imagine how JAM PACKED people's tape collections would get? It would be insane. Members PhoenixRising05 Posted January 31, 2007 Members Share Posted January 31, 2007 I won't make a whole schedule either but I would like Sunset Beach, Santa Barbara, Edge of Night, and Loving on the network. Plus, more classic soap episodes. By classic, I mean stuff from the 80's and 90's since Soapnet often feeds us episodes from 2-3 years ago and calls them classics. I would like to see them cut down a bit on 90210, Melrose, etc. Don't get rid of them entirely but move them around or cut them down a bit. I would also like to see Days move back to a 7 PM timeslot or another timeslot other then 11PM. I hate that timeslot. I also want Soaptalk to return as we could use that type of show to showcase soaps and their stars. I think the best thing would be to have two Soapnets-one for classic soaps and one for current soaps and maybe classic episodes of the current soaps. Who knows if we will ever get that though. SB and AW are the kind of soap classics that NEED multiple airings and a weekend marathon! Especially a show in such high demand as SB. I got hooked on AW when it aired at Midnight Eastern Time when it first appeared in the lineup. It is a travesty that AW only has one airing and that RYAN'S HOPE only airs in the GRAVEYARD! I would hope that if SOAPnet were lucky enough to acquire SB, that they do right by that show and its fans by airing it multiple times during the day in a GOOD timeslots.
