I agree. The reason it doesn't bother me, if my favs are gay is that I have the same chance of hooking up with them as if they were straight : Zero.

Actually, its more of a turn off to me if my fav is married because my mother taught me pretty early on not to give married guys a second look. So marriage ruins any fantasy way quicker than guys coming out of the closet. But at the end of the day, I watch for the performances and characters, so none of it really matters. If I like a character or his pairing, I'm going to root for him whatever his orientation or marital status.

I just think it sucks that people have to hide who they are or risk losing their jobs.

That's exactly what I was thinking when I wrote that Beemer's job could be at stake if this rumor were true. I think a large percentage of Beemer's fans would think differently of him. I personally wouldn't care. Although, I can imagine myself viewing him differently on the show.

His name is Greg Rikaart. And yeah. There is speculation that he may be gay as well.
