AMC: Dixie and The Satin Slayer

OK, folks... I STILL think Marlena DeLacroix and I are correct about Dixie's death being a ruse. Check out this VCR alert below (thanks to AMC Zendall Fan)...

Kendall, Josh, & Zach are keeping a very big secret - which viewers will learn on Monday, 2/19...

Then, Carolyn Hinsey's column in SOD...

It's Only My Opinion:

Carolyn Hinsey says ABC wants their soaps to be good, & tells viewers to ride it out or risk missing something good.

She offers two plausible scenarios about Dixie...

1. The Dixie who returned was an imposter...

2. Zach secretly sprinted Dixie away from the hospital to save her from the Satin Slayer...

C'Mon!!! I'm telling you... Marlena and I are gonna be correct! (I hope!) ;)

ChrisL, could be. AMC could've pulled a DAYS but only in a shorter time span. If this is so the rumors of Cady McClain(Dixie) and Alexa Havins(Babe) not really being axed would be true. Tanisha Lynn(Dani) may still be on the show too, since ABC reps have stated in the mags that "Dani is gone for the time being". This would be great news and I'd go back to the show.

I wish I could get my hopes up that they're pulling a DAYS by having everyone turn up alive (except Erin), but my pessimistic side thinks the Kendall/Josh/Zach spoiler means they're copying another aspect of the DAYS plot by having Erica turn out to be the killer and those 3 helping her cover it up.

I really want to be wrong, but this is McT...

Now that I've read that Babe also "dies," I'm in total agreement with you that the "secret" spoiler I inserted in my thread has to do with Babe, not Dixie. However, Carolyn's comments about "going for the ride or risk missing something good," along with scenarios on how Dixie could be alive after-all have re-inforced my opinion that Dixie was never dead to begin with. Only time will tell.

Yet another powerful observation for the "Dixie is really dead camp" - Cady being in LA instead of taping in NY on AMC. Ah, well. Until Feb sweeps are over, I will keep believing that Dixie ain't dead. Once sweeps are over and Cady isn't back on my screen? I will admit to being defeated! :o

Hey Jonathan, I sure hope I'm right too! One minute I'm convinced that I'm correct, and then I read other posts citing that the Dixie character is "dead DEAD," and I'm like "hmm, perhaps my soap instincts are off this time." But I still stand behind my stance because the reeasoning behind letting Cady go just does not make sense for the show.

Now, about "ghost Dixie:" The only plausable scenario I can come up with is that this was Dixie's dream/imagination. Not sure what will come to light re: future story, but suppose Dixie was given a drug to make it appear that she was dead. During this time, she could have dreamt that she paid 'visits' to her loved ones, watching them from a safe distance while they react to her death. As for putting two and two together that Kathy is actually Kate when Tad was hugging Kathy... well, again, perhaps this was all Dixie's thoughts - wishful thinking on her part. Even Kathy's wave to her rings hollow; no one else saw Dixie except Kathy, which doesn't make much sense. Granted, this is a fictional tale, but I think even little Kathy would let Tad/Julia know that angelic Dixie was waving to her if it really was happening. ;)

So that's how I explain away "ghost Dixie." It was Dixie's thoughts/imagination/dream at the time that she was made to appear dead.

Longshot? You betcha. But then again, so is mostly everything on daytime these days.
