GL: 70th Anniversary Special Section @ CBS.com

I posted this in another thread, but I think it deserves it's own thread.

CBS.com finally has the 70th Anniversary Special section up and running and it includes a timeline of GL's history, an on-going video poll, and should have some other things added later on.

http://www.cbs.com/daytime/gl/behind/specials/gl_70/

The timeline has some cool images that pop up when you click on each 5 year interval. The background images are cool, too.

They're doing the memorable scenes poll, just like they did with ATWT. It's going to be week to week and looks like it'll last about 11 weeks. You can download clips of the scenes by clicking on the images. The choices for this week are:

Classic scene from 1952

Reva baptizes herself the "Slut of Springfield"

Ross' election night dream

Roger unmasked

Lizzie tells Phillip she shot Carl

Reva learns she has cancer

Vanessa and Billy wed

And it looks like a bunch of other goodies will be added down the road.

I am so sick of Reva baptizing herself in the [!@#$%^&*] fountain. And I've seen that scene maybe twice. For God's sake the woman jumped into a foot of water, WHOOP-DE-FREAKIN-DOO!

Ahem. Other than that the site is very pretty. I'm kinda shocked at how nice it looks.

I voted for the one when Lizzie admits to killing Carl. I remember seeing that when it aired and being moved so I loved seeing it again. I can't wait until next weeks clips.

I voted for Roger Unmasked. Because that scream was classic soap camp and they need to be reminded that Michael Zaslow was too good for their show in the end.

Question: Was Roger dead in that one clip? I'm not sure why Holly's screaming.

The Lizzie/Philip scenes were wow. What a great little actress Hayden Panetierre was. It's sad how much of a caricature Lizzie has become since.

I believe he had just been revealed as alive after a decade of presumed deadness. And Holly's twisted history (terrorized and raped her) with him explains her screaming.

LOL!

Hayden Panetierre was incredible.

Wow, the fountain scene is my favorite GL scene of all-time. Different strokes.

I'm so indecisive, I still haven't voted. I'm torn between the Roger and Lizzie/Phillip clips. I might just vote for the the 1952 clip if I can't make up my mind.

I voted for Roger being unmasked. Gotta love that blood-curdling scream that Holly gives at the end. It just gives you chills.

I didn't see what was so special about that clip. Did they only pick it cause the girl's on Heroes now?
