May 23, 200718 yr Member I want Blake to win. And I voted for him for about an hour straight - and unfortunately I always got through - which means the he wasn't overloaded with votes I hated that last song - the songwriting contest winner. That was horrible for both performers IMO. Jordin was HORRIBLE on Xtina's "Fighter" - but she was AMAZING on McBride's song. I wouldn't mind Jordin winning - but I'm pulling for Blake. ITA with your post. I tried voting but I couldnt get through I had no idea that it was Chris Daughtery that sang "Home" the song thats always played during AI
May 23, 200718 yr Member Jordin screached "Fighter" and that's a fact. She put no feeling whatsoever in and was a trillion times worst than Martina McBride singing "A Broken Wing". She was better on the final song, but that song was not fair to give to Blake to sing anyhow since it wasn't his genre.
May 23, 200718 yr Member I and my mother traded the phone and at 30 minute intervals voted from 8pm until midnite. We both received a lot of busy signals. It was hard to get thru for the first 2 hours especially.
May 23, 200718 yr Member Here is the link to watch Chris Daughtry again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oAgct279aE Thanks Jean for the clip. I knew someone from SON would post the performance. Thanks again! I hated that I switched channels so fast last night and missed them. Daughtry rocks. Chris Daughtry has more talent than last year's top 2 or this year's top 2 as well IMHO. Bon Jovi didn't even like Blake's version of this the first time he sang it. That's total B.S. What's your source? I doubt there's one. Jon Bon Jovi DID NOT say that he didn't like Blake's version of "You Give Love a Bad Name" on IDOL. I'm a big Bon Jovi fan and I loved Blake's version, and hated the horrible rendition of "Livin' On a Prayer" Jordin "I'm think I'm So Hot" Sparks did.
May 24, 200718 yr Member Oh boohoo, it wasn't his "genre". You are tested all year in different genres to show how versatile you are. Would Blake fans have preferred a song with little to no vocal ability required?
May 24, 200718 yr Member OMG Kelly brought the house to its feet. Even the judges stood and cheered. That performance was raw, emotional, and just brilliant.
May 24, 200718 yr Member Kelly's been the best part so far...... Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo it's Sanjaya........

Would Blake fans have preferred a song with little to no vocal ability required? They probably would have loved it if he beat boxed his way through Tears From Heaven by Eric Clapton. Blake is a one trick pony, and he's proven it during absolutely HORRENDOUS vocals on MANY occassions.
May 24, 200718 yr Member That's why you have friends in high places. Expect a PM from me in like 5 minutes. Wow, it has been a longggggggggg 5 minutes.
