All: best and worst soap

Forgot to mention the best soap: Coronation Street. In Canada we are about 9 months behind (UK) and it is funny to see how Y&R is stealing their storylines, only CS did them better. That show knows how to balance its cast with newbies and veterans. From what I hear, characters on CS have writers assigned to each character so that they are always kept in chracter, not re-written to fit the twisted vision of a new head writer.

Best: Y&R but only by default

Worst: ATWT but only because it would be so easy to make it better. Make an example of it, said the principal

THE REST: Well, SH!T sinks. Only DAYS has any deserved upward mobility. The rest of them smell worse than dirty foot cheese.

and what about Jerry Douglas as John Abbot, one of the core family's patriarch? The show pretty much decimated that family with Jack left as the sole member

Gh is killing off Alan Quatermaine while the mobsters are taking over the show

Amc let Julia Barr go

The Best: DAYS hands down.

The Worst: AMC by far (from everything I've heard).

I agree it's the best soap , especially for its balance, but it's been so hard to watch recently, so depressing with Mike Baldwin's alzeimers' and death. I cried when he died in Ken's arms. At least they gave us a little folly with the "Farewell Mike" special show; so now the complete idiots should know Johnny Briggs decided to leave the show on his own.

No doubt an uninformed one if she's never seen Coronation Street ;)
