Kelly Monaco was in Playboy

LOL - ok so I was partying with some friends last night and they had an issue of Playboy in their bathroom. Well usually I wouldn't care about looking at a Playboy, but it said there was a celebrity section in there - so I looked and to my surprise there was a huge picture of a very NAKED Kelly Monaco. It said she was the April 1997 Playmate.

Now, I was really shocked and wondering if anyone else knew about this, or am I just the last to know??? lol

Lol yep. They even did a re-issue after she won Dancing With the Stars. She did Playboy shortly after Baywatch I believe.

I randomly stumbled across the pics somehow. So, yeah, I knew! I don't blame you for not knowing though! I don't think it's well-known.

There is actually a video too. I have to wonder if it is all her though, if you know what I mean. It's very girl next door, then not so much. But the body doesn't look right. I saw it on the internet

I saw her video years ago and am pretty sure it's real. Playboy has videos for most of their playmates, it's very soft core though. BTW, I've known about this for YEARS! She's very proud and mentioned it as one of her biggest accomplishments on her Soapography episode.

I'm sorry, she calls it an "accomplishment?"

Oh, so taking off your clothes on camera for thousands, if not millions of men (thanks to the Internet) who think of you as a sex object and want nothing more than to spread their bodily juices all over you, THAT'S an accomplishment?

I SO don't like this girl.

She probably thinks it's "empowering," too.

Yuck.

Get a clue, Monaclueless.

Your biggest accomplishment isn't an accomplishment.

You were USED.

DEGRADED.

DEHUMANIZED.

Turned into nothing but a sex object.

Literally.

Anybody can do it.

It's not an accomplishment.

GET REAL, GIRLFRIEND!!

First off, what may not be important to you, may be important to her. There are millions of girls who try out for Playboy and don't get in. So the fact that they found her body and her face to be worth putting in their magazine is an accomplish for her.

You act as if posing for a nude magazine is some kind of nasty, taboo secret that no one should ever do. She wasn't used, degraded or dehumanized. Had she been taken advantage of and forced to take off her clothes like many underage girls do go through, then you could say those things.

I respect your opinion, but I disagree with you. I think you're unfairly judging her. It's not like she did it and tried to cover it up once she became famous. She was a model who had bigger dreams. You can't fault the girl for being bold enough to go old for playboy.

I say she was degraded because yes, women try out for it, and think it's big, but in reality, we all know what men do when they "read" those magazines. Is that really what someone should aspire becoming? Someone whose photography is not art, but food for a man's one-eyed monster? She's not being raped or degraded in the studio, perhaps, but she is being used for sex. She is a sex object. I really don't think there's a way to deny that, again, since we all know the sole purpose of Playboy.

Krista Allen (ex-Billie, Days) also did nude photos. Full frontals 'n all!

Why don't the soap MEN ever do spreads?!

  • Member

Oh Kenny, they have done spread. I don't know if they were full on nude, but some of the following have done it:

Steve Burton

John J. York

James Hyde

Galen Gering

Cameron Mathison

I am quite sure there are others.

No frontals. In fact, no nudity at all, frontal OR rear. Believe me, I checked LoL.

The best one I can recall is Windsor Harmon from B&B, and he showed his ass. That's all. And it wasn't even a nice ass.

I'm pretty sure Victor Webster showed the most .

James Hyde had his chance but blew it. What the heck was he thinking? Posing in Playgirl and only UNDIES IS GOING TO CUT IT?! Oh, and looking out a window in blue pajamas. It's PLAYGIRL, you bafoon! TAKE IT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL OFF.

Again, James ruined everything.

Soaps stars are not allowed to show their parts in Playboy. It is a contract violation.

I believe James Hyde mentioned why he couldn't go any further in his spread in greater detail, something about NBC wouldn't let him and they control, as other networks do, their stars promotion.
