AMC

Best- Nothing. AMC didn't have any strong points for the year, IHMO.

Worst- The entire year of 2006. The horrible writing, the horrible storylines. The show has been ruined and I feel bad for whoever takes over AMC from McTavish. If TIIC ever fire the hack. A new HW certainly has their work cut out for them. I don't think Mctavish did one storyline right for 2006. Storylines that could have been great were either dragged out too long, taken in a bizarre direction or were so plot driven that the emotion was completely drained from the storylines. The firing of James Scott, HUGE mistake. Look how well he is doing on Days. No storyline for Simone, Brooke, Dani, Reggie, etc. The treatment of the vets and Julia's calious dismissal. Just a horrible, horrible year for AMC. They should be embarrased. Frons should have taken action immediately after the ratings started to slip right after the babyswitch was over. McT should have been fired at that point. He may have killed the show by his inaction.

Y&R

Best- Nick and Phyllis, I love the pairing but I also like how Jack is slowly being drawn back to Phyllis right now. The death of John Abbott. Wonderful acting and great drama. Having MS play Phyllis and Sheila. That is going to be great!!!

Worst- Brad/George/Whatever his name is. His storyline and character bores me to tears. So does Brad/Vicky. Please end this pairing!!! JT/Colleen. They bore me also and I like her better with Korbel.

BEST

Rick Springfield at the Emmy's.

DAYS:

* JER's fired!!!!!

* Hogan as new head writer

* Peter Reckell, Kristian Alfonso and Julie Pinson's acting around Zack's death. His death was also THE saddest moment of the year!

* Steve & Kayla returns

* I discovered what a great actress Rachel Melvin really is.

* Billy Warlock and Julie Pinson got married. YAY! (Sorry had to put that one in there since they're so cute together and their love story was kind of like in the soaps. They almost got married in -99. Several years later they ended up on the same show, got back together and got married. Julie married him in the same dress she was supposed to wear all those years ago. :P)

B&B

* Felicia "dies". The actors did such a great job.

* B&B Ridge and Brooke get together. They deserve each other!

* Taylor tells The Forrester's like it is and get slapped for it. Wohoo, gooo Taylor.

ATWT

* CarJack's break up scenes

* Jenn Landon

WORST

DAYS

* Matt Ashford got fired

B&B

* B&B Ridge and Brooke get together. AGAIN! :rolleyes:

* Hector moving in to Taylor's. So boring.

ATWT

* Simon's return

* Simon & Carly. Extremely boring as a couple, and it was an extremely boring s/l they had.

* Anything with Luke.

GH

* Sonny and Emily

* Also great performances by Lesli Kaye, Kate Collins, Nancy Lee Grahn, Victoria Rowell, Kristoff St. John, Jerry Douglas, Beth Chamberlin, Gina Tognoni, Colleen Zink Pinter, Heather Tom, Dan Gauthier, Kassie DePaiva...

Worst moments on OLTL in 2006:

Mikey Jerome winning IWBASS 3 and earning a 13-week role on OLTL.

The firing of Dan Gauthier.

Not attempting to keep Tuc Watkins or Heather Tom from walking.

Signing Michael Easton to a new contract.

Allowing Higley's reign of terror to continue.

Influx of newbies.

Best moments on OLTL in 2006:

Marcie and Michael's wedding

Todd's execution

Viki/Dorian preparing to do battle once more

Annoucement of HBS's new 4-year contract

Firing Mikey Jerome and Claudia Butler

Bringing down the God that was Spencer Truman

Recasting Jack

Yeah, there are a lot of VH here.

Personally, I think he's a good actor. But I don't think he deserves to be put on a pedestal.

I do think it's a shame that he's the only teen w/o a storyline. Will and Gwen are so annoying! <_< They're barely tolerable anymore.

Oh P.J. you're such a chicken. :lol::P;)

I actually couldn't stand Jake Weary. Thank God Kim Zimmer did us a favour and took him out. Like Jennifer Landon last year....Van Hansis deserves the props for this past year.

Jake Weary soooooo would not have been able to pull off some of the stuff Van did earlier this year. I still kick myself for not taping the episode where Luke pushed Lily down the stairs. Martha rocked that [!@#$%^&*] too!

Best

ATWT's second 50th anniversary episode

Jennifer Munson's death and the three episodes surrounding it

The early Luke/Jade/Lily/Holden stuff

More vets (earlier in the year)

Jennifer Landon wins an Emmy

Worst

Craig returns

Simon returns

ANYTHING involving Craig, Paul, Dusty and their [!@#$%^&*]es (Emily, Meg, Lucy)

Mike and Katie's endless summer of sex/Simon's re-introduction

Carly, Simon, and that shitty rhinestone

Vienna.......sausage

Giving an 18-year-old pizza delivery guy a CONTRACT ON THE [!@#$%^&*] SHOW but not having the DECENCY to do the same for a woman who's been there for THIRTY-ONE YEARS! [!@#$%^&*] YOU ATWT!!!!!

GUILTY.

And I think Jake W could have handled some of Luke's issues way better than VH. I would rather have had JW "sorting through" the BIG SECRET for a while, than the "Slap, bang, all of the sudden Luke's GAY!!!!!" story.

Seriously...who's the pizza delivery guy who's keeping some ATWT vet from being on contract? Elwood? Puh-leeze. They're probably paying that poor kid in pizza and letting him live in a steam grate under the studio.

B*tch about them hiring ABC fan favorites hoping to lure their fan bases, or giving actors who've left the sun, moon and Goutman's left nut to come back and hog airtime for six months instead. (YES, I'm b*tching about Paul Leyden yet again!)

Elwood put off his first semester of college for a handful of appearances. His salary wouldn't keep Roger Howarth in hair products. And it sure wouldn't pay a week of some vet's contract.
