Passions' holiday episodes tend to be some of its best eps of the year.

I am anticipating today's episode.

It;s good to know Passions can still give us a good Christmas show. It wasn't it's best but it was the best episode in weeks.

Sabatino was awesome. Rebecca and him are one of the reasons I haven't totally quit watching. Love him in drag.

Tabitha/Endora were great and I just knew Edna and Norma would pop out. Can't wait to see what happens there on Tuesday's show.

Loved Paloma/Noah and seeing Sam, Pilar, TC, and Eve. I also liked the scene Eve had with Simone about her being a lesbian and people not accepting it. It wasn't forced and I liked it. I also liked TC softening towards Rae and having her there was nice. Passions did a good job there.

I didn't like how fast the wedding came about and it deflected from the normal Christmas episode we usually get. I usually like when Passions gives us miracles and good moments and they did today but the wedding just took most of the attention. I didn't mind it but it felt weird knowing what we usually get from a Passions Christmas show. I was so happy they threw a carol in at the end because then I was touched by it and it felt like a Passions Christmas.

Theresa looked great too and loved the looks between her, Jared, Ethan, and Gwen.

Whitney looked great but I am ready for Chad's lover to be revealed. They are dragging that way too much but at least we know it's not Jared based on him showing up and the dialogue he had about Chad continuing to have the affair.

Luis/Fancy was nice because I like them but that was the fastest coma in soap history. They really should've had her go into a coma on Wednesday or something not have it all in one day but whatever. Still a cute moment.

Also glad they acknowledged Grace's situatuon. This episode would've been perfect if she walked into the church.

Good episode though. I hope they can build off this and give us at least a decent few weeks.

I loved this episode as well.

-Theresa looked HOT! Jealous Ethan is still so juicy and fun, hehe!

-Paloma and Noah were so cute!

-I loved the scenes with Eve, TC, Simone, and Rae! So sweet! Passions' approach to Simone being gay has been very sensitive.

-JT and Rebecca were hilarious and hot. I loved how she joked about JT being the victim of a hate crime!

-Tabitha and Endora were awesome, and Norma and Edna are always a hoot!

-I loved the caroling, the wedding (I guess vows will be exchanged in the next episode), and Father Lonigan's reference to the events in Rome.

-I loved how the entire cast was used, with the exception of Valerie and Charity (and Jessica and Spike, but they both suck).

I loved that they acknowledged Grace's absence. I have a feeling something bad will happen to her...not death, but I definitely think she may be presumed dead and kidnapped, or just disappear and be held hostage. Maybe the mysterious person who called her knows about her Standish powers and wants to harness them..which is why I think it's Alistair, especially if he needs her good powers to harness the magical powers of the chalice...maybe he needs Charity, too...maybe this is the beginning of an umbrella story with the Standish women using their powers to save the world from Alistair's evil...

I really enjoyed PSNS today. I got a real good Christmasy feeling from it and it was exactly what one would expect from the show. It was really good.

What I like is how, on every "Passions" Christmas episode, they focus in really tight, during the last segment of the show, on the baby Jesus in the manger, and remind viewers of the reason for the season.

Mushy stuff aside, how unrealistic was the Norma/Edna thing? You can NOT ship two people, can you? I'm NOT buyin git.

Also, about Fancy's Christmas miracle...dang, either JER writes too freaking slow or he writes too fast! I enjoyed Fancy's "miracle," but it would have been much better if she woke up after more than just a five-second coma. Remember when Sheridan was buried alive? Dang, now THAT was a Christmas miracle. First she was buried, then there was the revelation of her being alive, then the rescue team dug her up, then she went in the coma, Ethan pulled the plug and the girl STILL made it to Midnight mass. Now THAT is how a Christmas miracle is written. That story stretched from before Thanksgiving to Christmas. Fancy's rape, then, might have occurred just after Thanksgiving and the fallout could have been played out longer.

Longevity aside, how SWEET, SEXY AND COOL was it when Luis put on his Santa hat and gave Fancy a Santa hat to put on? *swoon*

Finally, thanks, JER, for mentioning the reason WHY Chadney can have their wedding on Christmas day. Love how they mentioned the pope granted a dispensation because of their heroics from saving the world and the Catholic faith while in Rome. (God I typed that without laughing...I love this show!)

JSF-If you can have what happened in Rome happen, you can have two people shipped in a box

Norma is always like sent in a box anyway or something. I remember her doing it before without Edna.

The Fancy miracle was rushed. I would've been happy just having her go into a coma Wednesday and then wake up today but your right Sheridan's miracle had more punch when they dragged it for a bit. The Santa hat moment was cute though.

I was so happy they sang at the end and focused on the manger because it didn't feel like a normal Passions Christmas with so much attention on the wedding. I used to like the mass and the miracles but the wedding took away from it a bit and the miracle was isolated with Luis/Fancy and not in front of everyone like usual. I did like how Fr. Lonigan explained how they could get married but I wish Passions did a normal Christmas show today and had the wedding like Tuesday or something.

Whatever-it was still a good show. Not their best but alot better then the last few weeks IMO.

How many Christmas miracles has JER done on PSNS?

  • Member

He's done one like every year, King.

2000: Sheridan wakes up and comes to mass.

2001: Timmy becomes a boy

2003: Ivy walks and Sheridan holds her baby and saves it via nursing.

2004: Paloma smiling at her mother (not really a miracle but at the time it was given how she treated her  )

2005: Ethan wakes up and arrives at mass.

These are the ones off the top of my head. Too late at night to remember more

1999: Christmas tree 'magically' was restored after being burnt/destroyed

Another miracle (2004? maybe) was Theresa getting to hold Jane, I think.

  • Member

The 2000 Christmas miracle was not Sheridan waking up. It was Ethan proposing to Theresa, finally triumphing over Gwen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you who had a problem with Chadney's wedding, need I remind you of the 4 December Weddings of 2002?! :D

Regardless, I am desensitized to JER's stupid Christmas miracles. There have been seven! Get original, you lazy @$$!
