I see many signs of life with this show. And right now, I'm VERY entertained...more than a few months ago.

I will agree the show is a bit better right now but it's always good in December traditionally. It's after the holidays it goes back in the crapper.

However, I will disagree with you. The show is doing nothing to help itself. The Sheridan story is character destruction whether she has reason to do this or not. They are ruining Shuis to prop up Lucy, who I like but I don't want to see characters destroyed for them. Jared/Chad we don't even know is happening. It could be Chad and another guy and even so how will that help? The show never focuses on Simone's life as a lesbien and the Chad story will just be played for shock value just like so much of the show is already. They have destroyed Chad too in this story. This is not the same guy who fought for Whitney even when he thought they were siblings. I never liked him with Divins but they have butchered that character along with Sheridan and Fox. Miguel has been butchered horribly along with Kay. Tabitha is nothing but a narrator and only gets her own action when Norma returns or when we get the yearly "we may have Julian and Tabs fight over Endora" mention before that gets dropped.

Outside of ET fandom, no one gives a rat's ass anymore about Gwen's downfall. The show dropped the ball on that with me not once but twice with false reveals in November. That was inexcusable. They botched up Grace's return and story. The Charity return is a mess and Jaresa is being ruined to pimp ET again. Ethan as a character was already a mess and now he is destroyed beyond repair. Lucy has potential but this horniness with them right now is nearly ruining them for me too. Then there is all the rape and shock and awe crap. The show is a mess and even when it's improved a bit it's still a mess.

I don't want to see it go but if I have to see this crap I would much rather see it gone and see it's talented performers go elsewhere where the writing is better and the head writer actually gives a damn about quality and fans.

Awesome post, Phoenix! What you said is exactly why PSNS is so screwed up right now. At this point, it would serve JER right if the show were cancelled, because no one wants to see a rape-a-thon numerous times every year. It really just sucks that I'm sort of wishing cancellation on PSNS because I used to love it so much, but the show is in the gutter right now, in just about every sense of the word.

I don't know, Phoe, we KNOW how JER foreshadows, and when that jewelry store clerk asked Chad and Jared if THEY were getting married, that was enough for me. I've watched enough years of "Passions" to know that would NEVER happen unless something was going on between them. CLEARLY, the woman saw the undeniable chemistry between Chad and Jared. Notice, when Chad meets his lover, if Jared was with Theresa, he has ALWAYS disappeared by the time Chad's in the motel room. I think they're in denial about their down low 'meatings,' which would explain the uneven dialogue between them, but they're clearly screwing each other's effin' brains out!!!!

I think Emily Harper can do well with this material IF it is handled right, JER!

That's been debunked quite a bit of times if you'd pay attention: Like the fact that Jared was with LE while Chad was in the motel, Jared telling Chad to stop seeing whoever he was seeing (why would he say that if he was seeing Chad?), and the blatant "aww you two must be really excited" scene yesterday which indicated that anything that's very obvious is wrong.

I disagree. Passions is an embarassment to the daytime community, has been since it's inception. All it does is bring down daytime's already diminished reputation. I'll rejoice as well when Passions is finally cancelled.

Exactly and JER needs Jared to continue to keep ET apart. Surely, no one thought thet would be reunited evenv after Gwen was exposed? . There have been several times Jared has been accounted for while Chad was at the motel but if Jared is Chad's lover it would make no sense based on Jared having an alibi during the trysts. Of course, this is JER writing . I took that women's words as a hint Chad was having an affair with a man but not Jared.

That Fancy spoiler sickens me. She was nearly raped last month and now this? Yes, it could be great material as long as it does leave her with physical and emotional scars but this is the holiday season and this kind of crap could've waited until after Christmas. This show never used to do stuff like this during the holidays. It used to be happy but now "Hey, let's continue our disgusting trend of brutalizing women on Christmas. That is spreading good holiday cheer." .

Seriously, couldn't they take a break from that [!@#$%^&*] for one damn month or get rid of it entirely. I swear Passions is making it easy for people to stop watching entirely. I am not even sure if I want to watch the holiday episodes now.

I'm extremely disappointed that we won't be getting our ET reunion...however, somehow Theresa's engagement to Jared and Ethan trying to win her back will tie into Julian's custody battle for Little Ethan. Theresa's secret will come out, but will it be before or after she reunites with Ethan?

I am trying to look at the bright side of this Fancy rape storyline and why I think people should watch over the next week.

1) It gives Emily Harper a chance to strengthen her acting skills and to have new material for her character. Galen Gering also can flex his acting muscle.

2) We've seen the mostly fun side of Luis and Fancy's relationship. Now, we get to see them actually working through this as a couple. Passions has NEVER focused on the man's perspective of the woman being raped. This will deepen Fancy and Luis' bond, which is great for the show that needs one steady devoted and loving couple.

3) I think JER is actually making an attempt to write a decent arc. Ok, I hope. To me, I think there's more to this story than we've been led to believe so far.

Phoe, I disagree that the show has always been goody goody during Christmas. Granted, it hasn't ever been this brutal, but I remember when people were complaining about (but still watching) Sheridan's burial alive. They screamed that it was inappropriate for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but then they rejoiced when Shuis had a Christmas miracle. You can't please everyone.

This is just a rape to bring LUCY together. Harper will get good material for two weeks, then Fancy will forget she was raped.
