I swear, it's like all the planets are lining up and things are just getting so perfect.

Eileen was just let go from Y&R, so she's free to come back. They have this huge EJ story, which is the closest story relating to Kristen that they've had in the past nine years -- in other words, a PERFECT story opportunity to bring her back in a great, dramatic way. Eileen said in her TV Guide interview that she's open to the idea of returning to the show, even though she doesn't watch it anymore... and she also said that she and Drake go to the same gym and he was telling her about the EJ story and how he might be "her" son and she thought it was interesting. All the pieces are lining up for her to make a return, moreso now than they ever have before or ever will again. If she doesn't come back now, she NEVER will. And I'll be completely crushed!

I've watched this show for years now, and as soon as Eileen Davidson left, a HUGE part of my enjoyment left with her. The only reason I've continued watching this show when it went through it's horrible, horrible ruts of the past nine years is because I always held onto hope that Eileen would return to the show and make everything 'right' again. Even when it seemed completely impossible, a little part of me just kept hoping that she'd make her way back.

She has to return. She just has to.

I have a feeling that "Lexie" will return, but Renee Jones will not be playing the part...they will probably get some new actress to making minor recurring appearances...like the three or four other actresses that played the part before Renee.

I'm suspicious about Corday's primise that Lexie AND Renée would be back. And, as muhc as I love Renée...if they're going to just have her be Abe's wife and never give her anything else, I'd rather see Lexie become the recurring form she once was in the 80's. Even with the DiMeras, she doesn't need to be around on contract.

I remember reading the "insider" rumor that they had planned to kill Lexie, but changed their minds, and decided to recast the role.

I dont think this is a case of Renee going from contract from recurring. If so, they would have come out and said so; rather than being sly/coy in their wording.

I broused because when I finally get around to watching DAYS, it will be December 16th/17th, and I'll have three weeks to catch up on so I want to be shocked. But it all sounds really good!

Awesome news that Renée Jones and Lexie are not out permanently, that Lexie's not being killed off and sounds like that Lexie is not being re-cast as well. Cool.
