I love this show too. I caught up on all five seasons in the past 3 months. Love AJ Cook! She's so gorgeous! I really hope Thomas Gibson gets noticed for the 100th episode where Hotch's on the phone with his son and ex-wife, just before Foyettte kills his ex-wife.

So yeah, if anyone wants to talk Criminal Minds, I'd certainly love to. :)

How about this past weeks ep?

Loved the ending with the killer killing his Father in prison.

I just got caught up on most the first few seasons on A&E but never seen Gideon's final ep. What happened to him?

I love the cast of this show but I just can't watch, it's too traumatizing. Mandy Patinkin is a well known diva but I can see why he left.

The gore is needed to show how the unsubs are monsters. It makes the viewer really want them caught.

I find at the end i get a little rush when the badguy is taken down. That doesn't happen with any oher show other than Dexter.

Well do they need to have so many ones that seem to be men with captured and tortured women? I dunno, some might argue that visceral thrill you get isn't necesarily good ;)

Oh, there's going to be a spin-off. Business-as-usual on CBS. :)

Beau Garrett has landed the female lead on CBS' "Criminal Minds" spinoff.

The project, from ABC Studios, the Mark Gordon Co. and CBS Studios, will be introduced in the spring on an episode of "Criminal Minds."

It revolves around a new group of profilers, led by Cooper (Forest Whitaker), who work outside the FBI bureaucracy.

Garrett will play Gina, a tough girl and recent FBI recruit who is loyal to Cooper and the object of Mick's (Matt Ryan) flirting.

Last year, Garrett played the female lead on ABC's pilot "Empire State," which was also produced by ABC Studios and the Mark Gordon Co.

Her feature credits include "4: Rise of the Silver Surfer" and the upcoming "Tron Legacy."

Garrett is repped by ICM and manager Sean Fay of KLWG.

He just left. I don't know if you saw the epi where his girl friend was killed, but after that he had a hard time. He left a note for Spencer up at the cabin telling him that he just couldn't continue with the job. We don't know where he went or what he's doing.

Kewl. I did see when Elle left. I think they should bring her back as an unsub who knows all their tricks and gets away with her murders.

Ohhh...that's a good idea! I kinda miss Elle/Lola Glaudini...mainly because she always wore tight clothes. LOL

So what are everyone's favorite episodes?

Some of mine are:

- The episodes with The Reaper/Foyette, especially "100"

- "Lo-Fi"/"Mayham": The terrorist group in NY

- "Pleasure Is My Business": Sexy Brianna Brown as hooker who killed her clients

- The episodes with David Carradine/Frank

- "Penelope": Penelope gets shot

- "The Big Game"/"Revelations": The episodes with James Vanderbeek

- "The Uncanny Valley": The real life dolls

I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting.

Toups I agree about Thomas's performance in "100". He was completely amazing. It's like the 5 previous years of Hotch being all stoic and unemotional came out at one time. And he knocked it out of the park. That said, I've still only been able to watch the episode once. It was the most intense episode of any show I've ever seen and I need to get some distance before I try to see it again. (Although that prolly makes no sense to anyone but me. LOL)

This season my fav episode (and actually of the whole series) has been Slave of Duty, which was the one immediately after "100". I thought Haley's funeral was done really well and I love the scene of Hotch having Jack blow his mom a kiss at the cemetery. So poignant and sad. I also enjoyed the case that night and Emily kicking the UNSUB's butt when they caught him.

I'm glad that Hotch is back in charge of the team though. Morgan did an admirable job as team leader, but it felt wrong to have him be in charge.

If you ever had any doubt that most of the show's attention was focused on the male characters, you don't need to now.

http://www.deadline.com/2010/06/cbs-criminal-minds-trims-cast/

EXCLUSIVE: Heading to Season 6, CBS’ successful crime drama Criminal Minds is trimming the female portion of its cast for what I hear are financial reasons. I'm told the option of series regular A.J. Cook has not been picked up and co-star Paget Brewster is being made an offer to stay for only a reduced number of episodes next season, leaving fan favorite Kristen Vangsness as the only remaining full-time female cast member. I hear negotiations are underway with Brewster for a new deal that would keep her on the show. If she agrees, she will continue to be formally a regular but won't appear in every episode. Talks are also ongoing with Cook to possibly appear in several episodes next season to wrap her character Jennifer Jereau’s storyline.

My AJ. :( I love AJ and she's one of the most of beautiful woman on TV - I just loved staring at her.

You what they should do to save money, get rid of Joe Mantegna.

Oh well, I'm sure AJ will be on a never tv show - she's beautiful and talent. I just hope it will be on a show I watch.

That's true, I'm surprised they didn't consider replacing Montegna. The cast has a lot of chemistry, that's one of the main things I enjoy when I can make it through an episode of this show. Changing that is going to be problematic.
