Well, I saw an ad on SOAPnet(not sure if it's been posted here yet) for a 4-hr Catch-Up Marathon for THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS a week from today at 11PMEST.

I assume this is gonna marathon with noteworthy episodes from this year. Interesting. I hope they play catchup with all the SOAPnet shows.

ChrisB, you didn't quite get what you want, but at least Y&R is getting a marathon!

Anyhoo...OT, but I hope they take some of those SOAPnet commercials for DAYS OF OUR LIVES out of rotation, especially since the show is good now. The one with the gold banner saying "Spend some quality time in Salem" makes the show look cheesy and stupid. They should update those clips with the same music and stuff. But I still like "The Art of the Look" commercial. LOL. That makes me laugh everytime.

Oh heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel no! :D The best thing to come out of this marathon is Victoria Rowell's fierce "Jump Baby" in the promo.

Knowing that the only soap SOAPnet gives good (and numerous) marathons to is GH, I hate the one Y&R marathon couldn't be more classic. Even with collectors, it seems near impossible to find Y&R episodes and don't even dream of finding a string of episodes. SOAPnet is our chance to really see it, but it looks like we need to keep waiting. :(

BTW, it's been six years and us OLTL fans are STILL waiting on a marathon. That is pathetic, it's the only soap (besides Y&R) that hasn't gotten a classic marathon yet. The oldest episode I remember SOAPnet showing is from the late 90s.

they've showed earlier episodes than that. They've shown Cord's wedding to Kate where Tina walks in from the mid 80s; the episode where Viki found out Marty was raped around 92 or 93 and Bo/Nora's wedding from 95.

I remember Cord's wedding to Kate now. I remember thinking that was such a boring episode to show off Marcia Cross' daytime talent. She basically just stood there. I think wedding are boring in general though.

Still, OLTL hasn't gotten it's own themed classic marathon. From Jess To Tess featured episodes from the previous year. It was the perfect opportunity to tie Viki's classic DID stories in, but SOAPnet doesn't care about OLTL fans.

when did you start watching OLTL? That episode was one of the BEST moments in OLTL history. It was a true classic. Cord and Tina were one of the show's biggest supercouples back in the 80s and Tina was one of the most popular. She was thought dead and in that time Cord was about to marry bland Kate. There was alot of anticipation as Tina races to the altar and reveals herself to be alive along with a baby that Cord didnt know he had (which really wasnt his kid bc Tina took her best friend, Gabrielle's baby bc she thought hers died). It was amazing. The bad thing about showing classic episodes like that is they only show a very short portion and that might mean nothing to someone who wasnt watching back then bc they dont tell the whole story. When OLTL fans talk about memorable weddings, that is usually at the top of the list.

I was only born in 1987, so I missed all of this stuff! :P I have heard about Tina and Cord and how great they were. What I meant is that specific episode was to showcase Marcia Cross for "They Started On Soaps." But in the episode she just stood there and said a few wedding vows. What I'm saying is that I think they could've found a better episode to showcase her acting chops.

you're right but to be honest, she was boring and bland as Kate from what I've seen. That wedding was the character's most memorable moment. I dont think many remember much about her besides that. Maybe Soapnet could have shown the episode after where she reacts to Tina coming back from the dead. I would have loved to have seen that bc the reactions are always better than the cliffhanger episodes

I'll be watching.

I liked when they used to show an old episode of Y&R during the various holiday's like, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas....I wished they would do that again, because it was nice getting to see past storylines I've only read about.

The marathon isn't this Sunday, it airs on October 29th at 11 am. I wrote down the date when I saw the promo ;)

What a CROCK! Those are the episodes. I could You Tube some of that. OY. The Katherine intervention stuff however is a good one. And reminds me again of how the academy cruely robbed JC of an emmy.

Yes! Believe NATALIA FRICKING LIVINGSTON won that year!!! Heather Tom was also a strong contender that year.
