Susan: Bob, Lee did stay here last night, he slept on the couch, in the guest room. So you have nothing to worry about.

Bob: Oh, thank God. I just had this awful feeling he spent the night with another man.

*Gabby chuckles*

Susan: Lee wouldn't do that. He loves you.

Bob: I know he does. But if he's got a few drinks in him, he'll bang anything with a pulse and facial hair.

*Gabby starts laughing hysterically*

I was disappointed in Gabby in this episode, how she guilted Carlos into taking that job. I thought the materialistic Gabby was gone and that she's changed.

I think that part of Gabby is and should always be with her. That's basically how her character has been since the show started, she's clearly changed a lot since becoming a mother but she's not completely out of character (i.e. Making Carlos get a job that pays very well.)

I wish we could see more of Mike and Katherine's relationship, I had no idea it was getting serious and Mike could be falling in love with her.

I think the whole jist of the Mike/Katherine thing was that Dave sees that Katherine is an important person to him now, and a new way to get his revenge on Mike. If Katherine were to die, not only would Mike grieve deeply, but he would also feel guilty for asking her to stay in town, when she could have moved away and stayed alive.

I don't see Dana Delany lasting past this season, which is a shame because I thought she had what it takes to be a lasting new addition. They really haven't been able to make a new housewife gel with this cast and get integrated to the canvas. It bombed with Alfre Woodard, and now with Dana Delany.

They do need more diversity, so hopefully the next time they try a new housewife, she's African-American or Asian.

Yes it was but for a milestone episode, it worked. I really enjoyed it, especially Gabby's flashback

Can I say how much Im loving Dave and Edie? The show has done a good job at redeeming him for me. Maybe not so much redeeming, but making him come across very sympathetic. Before he was just this angry psycho, but now I see him as a man who's had an extremely rough time dealing with the death of his wife and kid. I cant hate him bc I feel really bad for him and he and Edie together are a very good match.

Speaking of which, I didnt realize she was married twice? I only knew of the first husband or at the very least forgot about the one that was on tonight

I thought it was very well crafted. Funny moments, but also very heartfelt. It captured who each woman was, through Eli's eyes and deeds. Eli helped Gabrielle be less self-centered and make friends. He helped Bree believe in her ability to accomplish more than she thought she could be capable of. He helped Edie feel desirable at a low point in her life. He helped Lynette realize her kids were a priority when her judgment was clouded over work. He helped Susan continue to dream about love and happiness despite hardships.

For me, a recent viewer, who never really saw Rex Van de Kamp, or Mary Alice Young, it was a treat because it shone a light on past events that I'd only heard about. Also, I imagine if I had been a viewer since the beginning, the little details like the ladies outfits, or hairstyles during the flashbacks would have connected the Eli scenes more firmly to things I'd seen in previous seasons. It was fun that they tied Eli to a lot of things that happened in the past, before the series started, or during the missing five years, and showed the way Eli kind of shaped events in his own way.

I just thought this 100th episode was excellent. Almost "Bang"like in its simple, yet still funny, brilliance. At the end, I unexpectedly misted up, and I can appreciate when a show can make me do that. Some of my favorite lines:

Gabby telling Mary Alice she was about to put a gun to her head and pull the trigger. Dark but funny.

Edie--How about my breasts? Perky and Firm?

Eli--You named them?

All of the bit when Mary Alice first encountered Eli was just beautiful and really tied it all together.

I really think the fast-forward has re-energized this show.

Really nice 100th episode.. This show has been amazing since it started 5 years ago. The story about Eli was very nicely put together, and how he's had such a strong impact on their life when we never even seen or heard of him before.

Episode 5.18: A Spark. To Pierce The Dark.

Now THAT was the first genuinely edge of your seat cliffhanger the show has done in ages! The episode gets points for great continuity (McCluskey mentioning she lost her son, the sex on the table scene, going back to the very first episode, where Gabby banged John on), addressing the Richard/Susan dynamic (and I think stupidly resolving it, although it is DH, character maturation can be revoked at any second), not letting Carlos and Gabby revert to the way they were, and a good clashing of storylines, as Orson's kleptomania caused Edie's accident.
