I agree. It's exaggerated to heighten the drama, sure. But I don't find it contrived. It makes sense that Lucky would try to take out Jason to prove himself. All the points have been lined up. Jason has always been a ghost in this storyline ever since the killing of Manny.

It would be contrived if Jason was just minding his own business, and Lucky decided "You know what? I'm going to kill Jason today!"

You wanna talk about contrivances, let's talk about the Ric/Sonny storyline. Ric is a horrible father and a threat to Kristina, his blood relative, because he slept with Sam? Sonny slept with Sam and is the father of his own daughter's stillborn niece!!

Now THAT'S a character propping contrivance!

Right, and plus with Lucky being high on pills, druggies don't have the best sense of rationalizing things out to their proper conclusion.

You are dead on. NOW Rick is a bad guy? But Sams an angel? Get the hell out with that mess. <_<

I happen to think both of them are scum, I don't spare either one.

If Richards was still playing Maxie this storyline won't be half bad IMHO. KS portrayal is beyond weak. Richards would have knocked it out of the park.

At least Richards can play up the sympathy with the sluttiness(i.e. during the whole "I'm drunk, let's get krunk, here's the keg" scenes of 2003). Storms just comes of as whiny and child-like.
