Man another great episode tonight. I am loving the show so much. I hope that Mario Lopez's character gets more to do than tonights show. Other than his hot ass, he just didn't offer much to the show tonight IMO.

I loved the girl posting the Christian video on You Tube. So good. And Andy we got to see Christian's white ass again.

After seeing Dylan Walsh's ass during the sex scene tonight, I think that he may have the hottest ass between him and Julian. Just making a comparison.

I love the baby storyline. It is really good. I love how the show is about making people look so good, and then we have the surgeons who are all about that having a handicapped child. It is really good. I love seeing what it is doing to them all.

I love to see that Christian is still self-centered. He is one of a kind.

All the spoilers I read said that Mario's character would be gay. But I never heard the first thing in the epi. about him being gay.

And wtf?! to Christian being concious and TALKING while undergoing lipo...

I hate Sean and how he always feels that just when things start going good for him and Julia, he has to go mess things up. Sleeping with Erica didn't help AT ALL!

Love the child disability s/l. Liked what the burse said about wanting to hold his hand before doing surgery on him and about Julia looking into his soul.

I hate Michelle! Those lies! That weench! She deserves a good kick in the rear!

As for the previews, I'm wondering about what's going to happen with Melissa Gilbert's guest appearance. Looks like something fishy going on there..especially with "Mike" showing up and saying something about her not doing this again.

Also a preview: What's the deal with the model? They kept showing previews for it, but I never grasped what was happening.

And lastly...wtf?! to the voice on the phone telling Liz to stay still and she shouldn't feel any pain before the paramedics arrive..?!

I better not have to work next Tuesday!

Tonights episode was good

The gym scene was pimped as an extremly homoerotic scene that would progress (sexually) the character of Christian but it kinda fell flat. I guess the character developement was his problem thinking he has to be perfect. Hopefully Lopez will be back?

Still a good solid episode, and next weeks looks amazing! B+

You are right about the scene falling flat. It was not sexually charged or anything at all. It was kind of cute, but it had no sexualality to it at all even when Christian was talking about Mario's ass. It was nice seeing it, but the scene just didn't have any punch at all. And it definitely wasn't homoerotic at all.

First off Mario looked amazing...What an ass and i could just lick his abs...The Youtube stuff was hillarious, way to be up with current events Nip Tuck..

Sean and the nurse/nanny was just wrong and kind of disturbing...She's a wack job...and it looks like she'll be back next week..

I was shocked that Julia had the baby already, didn't see that coming so soon..I'm loving this baby storyline...

Finally i'm so happy that Liz is getting a story this year...Her scenes were great tonight...can't wait to see what happens next week with her...Does someone steal her kidney? have to wait and see..

Nip Tuck really is on a roll this year...

My brother watched a fully eppy for the first time last night with me and after seeing next weeks previews he was like I HAVE to watch next week. He knows its my favorite show and has seen me watch a few shows here and there but never watches them with me all the way through. I just tell anyone just watch 1 or 2 shows and you will be hooked.

About the show:

After hearing all this homoerotic stuff with Mario's character coming up with the shower scene I thought it fell flat. To me it was all about Christian trying to find someone who looks perfect and asking him how he does it.

How cool was that Youtube scene, something that would and could definitely happen today. I was laughing throughout that whole scene.

Kev, I am glad Liz is getting a to play a bigger part so far this season, Roma Maffia has been way underused. Some of the stuff in the previews with her has me intrigued.

After Julia had her baby, am I the only one who was like okay Sean and Julia say something please. It seemed like they stared each other forever right after the birth. The scene outside of the nursery was tough to watch, with the little girl having problems with her new brother having this disease.

Christian is such an ass! Sean needed Christian at his son's arrival, but all he cared about was looking perfect. I know its in charcater for him, but how selfish can he be?

I loved the previews for next week, so far N/T is on a roll.

Great, great episode. God, it's so good to hear a show say it's going back to its roots and actually DOING it.

The birth was so [!@#$%^&*] cute. That baby is adorable.

I love the Christian and Sean lifestyle contrasts. Thank God they're back.

Love Liz. Lovin' it all.

My only complaint, If I had to, would be that Christian played a bigger part in the birth. This is his family too. And they were there when Gina gave birth. He refers to them as his family all throughout the first and second seasons. He should have been more emotionally invested in all of this.

I also wish Christian and Julia would have a damn scene together. Sometimes I forget they shared a love too.

Ok - great episode. Again y'all have pretty much summed up my feelings over the show.

My friends and I were watching and had a major "WTF" moment *GASP* as the camera showed Sean and the Nanny going at it. First, I agree with you Steve that his ass is nicer than Julian ;). Second though, I was really upset that Sean would do that. It was so random and everytime Sean and Julia seem to be happy, one of the two ruins it by doing something like this. I just can't believe the writers would just have Sean randomly start screwing the nanny. I didn't like that...although the aftermath looks good in the previews.

There has been SO much sex this season!

I've read that Mario Lopez is supposed to play a gay character, and that he'll be in a series of episodes - so I'm guessing that stuff will play out later.

Finally, I can't tell y'all how excited I am about the previews. Just WHAT is up with Michelle - and how is this Liz stuff going to play out? I'm really excited about the upcoming storylines.

I didn't think it was random at all. I have been married and can kind of identify with what Shawn seemed to be going through. The birth of a child is a big thing anyway, and I can just imagine how bad it would be to know one was going to be born with major problems. Shawn has been having a hard time dealing with this, and to him it seems like his life is falling apart. Plus toward the end of a pregnancy the man never gets any attention, and there is no sex. I think Shawn just needed someone and he got a little attention from this young girl. It stroked his ego for one thing, and then another it was just a person to reach out too. There was nothing to it but sex, but unfortunately the way it looks it won't be that way for the girl. Shawn basically just used her. It may seem out of character for Shawn, but I have known many men that have done that and I know how close I came to doing it too during one of my wife's pregnancies.

Damn, Mario Lopez is......everywhere. :D I watched Dancing with the Stars last night, and he's on it. Then I flip to Nip/Tuck, and he's on it. Then today I watched the Bold & the Beautiful, and there's Mario yet again. :P

But back to Nip/Tuck, I was disappointed in the gym scene, except for seeing Mario's SEXY ass. And MY GOD, how much does he have to work out to get those abs??? Christian, whom I've always thought looked pretty good himself, looked downright puny next to Mario!!

    • Don't forget Carrie, who as Carrie2 was screwing everything in pants, and PPD Reva, who to either get back at Josh for his supposed affair with Vanessa (or just to prove she's more desirable than Van) tries to screw half the male population.
    • Post-production isn't exactly akin to sweeping the floors, but it makes more sense given her CV.  And, it would invalidate any concerns that she has an undo influence on the creative process, as opposed to visual and sound design of the show.  In fact, given her interests, it makes sense that she would want to consult and see the impact of newer technology in a post-production facility.  I could only imagine how much has changed in sound technology since she worked on SB, and that might be intriguing to utilize. As well as their impending move (not as soon as B&B, but we all know it will happen) and helping set up post-production at the new facility.
    • The last five or so episodes of season 8 after the Jean Hackney story ended were pretty strong with the Laura/Val friendship breakdown, Ben's PTSD with Val trying to help him, and the start of Jill realizing that Val was as much of a threat to her happiness with Gary as Abby was. I always thought that the Jean Hackney story should have ended at mid season at the latest... and then deal with the fall-out because seeing Ben/Val switch roles with Ben in mental decline instead of Val would have been interesting to explore.  And seeing Val and Laura's friendship suffer also was interesting and should have been explored especially with Karen caught in the middle and Abby both intrigued and amused at the conflict that she didn't cause. However, season 8 was the only Latham run season where Val was well written.
    • Well, she's not in there sweeping the floors at the end of the night, and you don't bring in an award-winning producer to just sit on their backsides (or hey, maybe you do!). Again, without knowing the specific capacity she's in there working as⏤and it seems as if we are not going to at the present time⏤it's hard to speculate/discuss. I would interpret she's in a role that either would not require being credited, or she's, as others have speculated, is back and not receiving credit for the work she's done. That'd be like saying, per the WGA, all writers must be credited, but as we've seen by those who've worked as fi-core, they don't always receive credit.

And, if my research is correct, per the DGA, you can request not to be credited for work you do. I could only assume the same would be for the PGA, as well.
    • When Anita read Barbara's letter, it started out with the viewers hearing it in Barbara's voice as Anita read silently. And then Anita saying the next portion aloud while Barbara's voice continued simultaneously. And then ending with Anita alone saying the last part aloud. Excerpt from interview  (link to full interview) The rest may be spoilerish -- Only the nonspoiler part here: I love the idea of reading that letter,” shares Tunie. “And at one point in the script, I think it said that my voice joined her, and [Anita] started reciting the letter from memory because [she] memorized this letter. I suggested to Steve Williford, our director, ‘What if it’s like that moment in Hamilton when Hamilton is writing the resignation letter to George Washington, and then he starts saying it too, and then Hamilton’s voice fades away, and then it’s all George. What if we do something like that?’ And he was like, ‘Oh, my God! I just got chills. Let’s do it!’ So, we did it.” I understood that it worked really well, so I’m really happy about that.”
    • I think MVJ and Guza made a good team in the launching of the soap, and I'm hoping that the rotation of all stories and characters is maintained once he officially departs from the credits. And so far, Ron C's breakdowns have been decent... but they pop only when he's paired with a good script writer like Jazmin.   I hope once Guza leaves officially... that MVJ is able to reign in Ron C and the dread Jamey G.
    • I read that, but my interpretation was that she is uncredited because it is in a non-production capacity.  In others words, she's not secretly producing, or writing, as some had speculated prior to the confirmation. Her likeliest position would be in a post-production consultant capacity. I assume we agree on this?
    • Errol already confirmed she is back at Y&R and in a non-producing role; this alludes to she is not credited for the role she has.
    • I don't think Lisa served a purpose after the serial killer storyline. The writers never gave her anything to do but be Vicky's nemesis. Joanna Going deserved better. Another example of a character taking over the show and then the writers not having a longterm plan for the character.  Exhibit B: Sally Spencer. Such a missed opportunity. It really angers me how they misused her. She could sing and act and they just threw her away in that sexist nonsense storyline. Once the story was over, they wrote her off. The McKinnons should have lasted for years. I will give the show credit for how they introduced Sandra Ferguson as Amanda. I thought it was expertly done. She comes in and she immediately connected to RKK's Sam. She has chemistry with Matthew and she has realistic conversations with MAc and Rachel. That's how it is done.
    • Great points, and it has not completely vanished. Leslie on Beyond the Gates fits the trope (she's still not over that Ted lovin' two decades later), though I will say there does seem to be an effort to make her more complex.
