I had no idea how strong this thread was going until I realized it was 15 pages long.

Anyway, I've joined the skeptics now. I want to believe Burton Armus is coming to AMC. But why are they waiting till doomsday to make the announcement?! I would think the week GL TIED AMC in the households and beat them in total viewers, that would have been the perfect time to make the annoucement that changes are on the way(for not only fans, but advertisers and the press as well). When GL is halfway near kicking AMC and OLTL's collective [!@#$%^&*]es in the household ratings, you know something's wrong. And GL is produced on a crap budget and isn't even shown in some parts of the country!

AMC is over if there isn't some sort of announcement made ASAP.

I really don't have more info on this for now but I"m certain JER isn't coming to ABC daytime anytime soon he's still under contract to NBC's Passions..

and on the casting announcement It's a huge star this potential exit would be has Huge has Vincent's surprise exit.

My guesses on who is going to be the next one fired is Julia Barr. I also think that Thorsten Kaye is going to be leaving.

I think the reason this thread won't die is that so many fans want to see AMC change. It is very frustrating to hear about all the behind the scenes changes other soaps/networks are making and NOTHING is happening when AMC is at the lowest point it has ever been. It's ridiculous.

Here's your hint it's not of these poeple that you mentioned.....for now.

There are strong rumors that Jacob Young is leaving the show. Maybe that is who PAsoapfan is referring to. I think other insiders on this board have said that it is very likely Julia Barr will be let go at the end of the year. And there are very strong rumors that Thorsten Kaye/Zach has decided not to renew his contract. Losing one of these actors is bad enough but the possibility of losing all three....ouch. Not sure AMC can stand the hit if they don't FIRE MCTAVISH!!!

I apperciate everyone patients with me, because I know I get on peoples nerve, but La Lucci would be the biggest to leave, if that would happen.. i also like to think she is a lifer... but I really dont think that TK leaving would be consider big with most mags or TPTB.. although TK leaving would be big for FANS...

I also will say if MMT is really leaving TK wont be going because no reason.. he might of been the first actor to say his complaints out loud, but he is by far not the last.

And i still want to know if she is not so close to being out the door why has her email not work since the beginning of Sept. if she was no longer writing although staying around because her " powerful Madden in the box s/l needed to end.

And I just had a thought... the only actor leaving that might upset both tptb and some soap mags.. because they really love him.. is CM ..

Cameron isn't going anywhere for at least 3 years.

If Thorsten leaves along with Jacob then AMC is done. Finished.

But something made TPTB desperate to get Eden back and it was more than her popularity. They were very generous in the offer, not just money-wise.

Initially I assumed it was to fill the void Jacob's departure would leave. Maybe they were even more desperate though, with Jacob AND Thorsten leaving.

I do think losing Jacob would be a big blow to the show because so much of it revolves around Babe and JR. McT has really destroyed his character lately so maybe it was to soften the blow of him leaving. Or just her horrible writing. Probably the latter.

But I think the biggest blow would be losing TK. He is a very popular character right now and the show is pretty much centered around him. Even though I wouldn't care if he left, many people would and I think it would be bigger than losing Jacob. Sad to say but I don't think the loss of Julia would be a surprise at this point.

See I am surprised that JY or TK would be that big of deal except to the fans.. and I just honestly don't see TK leaving If in fact MMT is really gone.. reason being .. he likes work.also.. His contract is up until April 2007 and of course he could of been let go early, because when they started making Ryan love Kendall again.. the comment that TK made to SOW ( just a little thought, I really think TK knew what he was doing with the comment and he meant everything to be written )

The rumors where Rendall being written that way because TK is leaving..

TK on his site.. was happy.. he wasnt going anywhere... see soaps are down sizing not the other way... so

him leaving a soap that was a steady job with a little girl to support was not in the cards..

And one last comment.. I loved Binks.. really ... but not enough to have lost VI or someone else to give her some money... because that much I dont like Binks...

Anyone know where Jackie is??? Maybe she could clear up the confusion about McTavish and when/if she is still going.

In a way Jacob Young could be considered a bigger cast cut than VI just because VI has been backburned and JY is front and center on AMC. The problem is that it wouldn't be a cut because his contract is up so it would just be him not renewing rather than AMC cutting him. I guess it could be TK but I can't see them cutting him loose and he went on record that he would honour his contract until the end which I believe is April 2007. I also agree that if McT is not out, TK is not going to renew his contract. I don't know who it could be.

Cameron Mathison just re-signed for another three years. I believe it was in this weeks SOD.

What do you mean, not just money wise? Do you mean in terms of giving her ability to pursue outside projects? Storyline input (please let this mean she gets away from propping Babe). Time off? I'm just curious.

I'm sorry but having ER back does NOT make losing VI and possibly JY and TK any easier. If her purpose was to soften the blow from losing all of the above, than TPTB have seriously underestimated fan's reactions and how big some of these actor's fanbases are. If this is the case than I don't care if Mctavish gets fired or not because if both JY and TK are gone, then so am I.
