Loving/The City Discussion Thread
Jocelyn went on to be Sydney's lawyer in The City where it was revealed that she was a former call girl and mistress who was being bribed back into the life by an old John. I have a scene somewhere on my soap YouTube channel where she comes clean to Sydney that she'd had an affair with one of Sydney's business associates; another scene where she's getting all tarted up to go turn a trick. #sexworkiswork

Primetime Soaps
@Chris B I echo @All My Shadows my search was fruitless so I'm guessing it's an unlisted channel. Please and thank you. 😉 I have to say, my mother and I gobbled up those eight episodes of CPW that summer. We were hungry for something soapy in primetime and were fine with the blatant Dynasty rip-offedness as the show was advertised as a limited summer series, we were along for what we knew would be a short ride. Raquel Welch was an early contender for Alexis like Jessica Walter, and they both got a shot at the archetype (Jessica as Ava Marshall in Bare Essence). If anything, I could appreciate seeing through Raquel's Dianna Brock what her Alexis most likely would have been like.

Game Shows
Linda Dano was on last night's airing of MGHS Hour. I was wondering about which network aired the show because they had stars from all of the big three. Am I incorrect when I assume the original MG primarily featured CBS stars? I have to agree @All My Shadows it just doesn't have the charm of either original show. I tune in just to see which random '80s personalities are going to be panelists. The other day it was painful to watch CNR sit there stone-faced and reactionless while he wrote out his answer card as that comedian whose name escapes me (looks like a mix between Jerry Garcia and Wilford Brimley) tryied his hardest to steal the show with lame ass jokes.

Series Original/Working Titles
Rags as in the rags (clothing) industry. This was never meant to be the actual title, it was just the name the Bells used while developing the show. Brad said in an interview that they knew pretty early on that they'd be going the, "The (blank) and the (blank)" route.

ALL: Temporary Replacements
I'm just being a stickler, but to see Shirley Knight in a clip under the banner of "They Started on Soaps" makes my teeth itch.

Vetsoapfan's Treasure Trove: Vintage Soap Material
That cracked me up and Linda's reaction was priceless. This brought back so many memories, I was in high school following all of the shows at the time. I had a few promos for The City on our long gone desktop and can still hear Darnell Williams announcing, "Morgan Fairchild is coming to The City, premiering November 13th." I thought for sure this would be a three minute segment, imagine 20 whole minutes devoted to the soaps.

Loving/The City Discussion Thread
Yes, that jiggles the handle of my memory. I remember watching with my mother as she tried to explain to me how Clay was no longer Clay. In that second interview, Susan is saying without saying that they were looking for someone who looked like AW's Rachel. Of course they wouldn't mention this at an audition. I forget which poster said this years ago, and it may have been at WoST, but he said that some of Susan's early performances were so close in terms of mannerisms and delivery to Robin Strasser that he wondered if she'd been encouraged to watch her on AW.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
She looks great! When did this set redress happen? I really like it but it doesn't feel like the Quartermaine family home, looks very OLTL.

Thanks, looking forward to watching this! Do we know why Roya left Loving? I assume on good terms as she came back to fill in for Lisa. I don't remember, what was the span of time between Roya and Lisa? Did Ava go away for a while or was it rather immediate?

😂 Totally. Lots of familiar faces in the cast to hold the interest of viewers who never watched the show.

That's wonderful news. I really admire Retro's dedication to TD, a classic soap and an "obscure" one at that. I wish other outlets would follow suit.

One Life to Live Tribute Thread
Although they weren't in the same class, Ms. Payton-Wright and Erika Slezak were at RADA for some shared years. I'd love to watch the beginning of the Addie storyline, I was in middle school and we weren't taping much as my mother could watch at her desk. My mother maintained that the Addie/Blair/Dorian dynamic was particularly gripping in the beginning with Mia Korf and Elaine Princi.

Was George gone before Robin joined the show? I know Robin had scenes with Jacquie, just wondering if there was any point where they tried to strike Another World gold. The Dorian and Tony relationship seemed to be a rich one but I think it was Pinkerton who had the most involvement with that storyline.
