  1. Antoinette "Skye" Chandler, Millie "Dominique Deveraux" Cox, Cassandra "Caress" Morell
  2. I liked Rae's, but there was another version with edgier music (I wish you could "doot doo doo" into your phone and post an audio file of what you're referring to...). https://youtu.be/44sKZiDraIM
  3. I am at a total loss on Tina. Must've been my college years when my viewing fell off.
  4. Years ago on her hotline, a few years after he'd left, Robin said he wished he could get back on a soap.
  5. I concur. I found David rather intriguing in the beginning, dark, mysterious, I loved all the Irene's diary stuff. It would be some years before he became Daffy David, the aging Adonis, but I think putting him in farcical situations with Tina and the Cramer women perhaps set the stage for the silly character he would become. I'm curious if Tuc was behind this turn in the character and what conversations were had with producers.
  6. Yikes. I just looked it up, McKenna and Fillion are six years apart. I didn't think there was even that much of an age difference to be honest with you. I think an actor even two or three years older than McKenna could've sold it. Of course Fillion was wonderful, that era of OLTL was my absolute favorite.
  7. Oh heck no, the Jorian (no one ever called it that, but whatever) s/l could not have worked with McKenna, Dorian would've been a straight up pedophile. It's weird enough when you see the characters interact in older scenes thinking about what's to come. I can't remember the clip of VickRobCal's that I'm thinking of, but Strasser and McKenna cross paths here:
  8. I was about to delicately address Robin's memory, but shame on me, it was Elaine's Dorian I was remembering in scenes with McKenna. He was still on the show though when Robin came back in '93 and during the 25th anniversary episodes.
  9. @vetsoapfan do you have memories of Margie Impert's Rachel?
  10. Did you notice the Bukes' yellow patio furniture just like the Ewings?
  11. I watched that episode at Paley years ago, what a treat, I plan to see it again the next time I'm in NY. Was this from the OLTL wrap party? You can hear the crowd reacting to Erika, I imagine many of them were learning of "another" Viki and a very much alive Victor Lord for the first time. I don't know how Gillian Spencer played Viki on a day-to-day basis, but in this episode at least, her Viki showed great concern for Merrie while remaining very reserved, still. Think of the quiet, understated, unflappable approach Beverlee McKinsey took to material, particularly in her final years on GL.
  12. Did PP air one ep each day then all five on the weekend? I don't recall. But I'd be down for something like that and it would be interesting to monitor viewing habits and see if the daily releases are "worth" it. When I was streaming B&B for a while there, I'd often watch two or three at a time. My personal issue with that was impatience with ads and poor pause/ff/rw functions; and the feeling that it was chore watching instead of daily enjoyment.
  13. Certainly, noticed it mostly on Capitol at the Cleggs', they loved to do a shot through the wrought iron in the foyer into the living room. Lots of shots through carafes and decanters as well. Not sure if this was done on LIAMST, but Y&R definitely gets credited for pioneering this under Conboy. I noticed shots like these on Y&R in the mid-'90s when I first started watching regularly when he was long gone. The Clegg mansion has got to be one of the largest soap private home sets ever, and without question, one of the most stunning and iconic. Had the show lasted, I can't imagine how they could've updated it without ruining it. It's such a perfect moment in time, and I would have loved to see it go on virtually unchanged.
  14. That's great to hear. Ha! He is wee.
  15. It really is. I'm a night owl, I usually get home late, and I would love to follow a late night soap. I always thought it was such a treat when the soaps were preempted and would air in the middle of the night. I so enjoyed watching Slesar's Hitchcock episodes and The Doctors after midnight.
  16. Did a little more research... Duke University has Michael Malone's collection of files from from his years in the business including 13 Bourbon pilot, outlines, and scripts.
  17. Michael Park and Henry Simmons, John Beck and Lonette McKee as @Paul Raven mentioned. ETA: IMDb has Nicole Forrester listed, maybe she was MK?
  18. How was Robin? Some friends of mine did In the Heights with him in MD, they speak highly of him as a person.
  19. That's funny, I did a Google search for the 13 Bourbon Street pilot about a week ago, I've hoped it would pop up online for years now. I thought I'd finally lucked out but it was a totally unrelated project. I remember Eric commenting that Michael Logan raved about it. I'm sure Linda Gottlieb or somebody has a copy lying around or knows where to get one.
  20. Found myself on an early '80s OLTL jag tonight. What a dynamic duo. Robin is really at her best when she plays it simply because she effortlessly makes the most delicious acting choices. I marvel at Erika's 80-second monologue that she probably learned the night before. In theatre, most actresses I know would be calling, "Line?" for weeks. I was trying to figure out what this scene was reminding me of, and I realized it was flashes of scenes between Joan and Diahann on Dynasty and Barbara and Stephanie on The Colbys in terms of the way the actors handle the, shall we say, "elevated" language with impeccable speech and proper emphasis. As a colleague of mine would say, they're "(giving you) the nouns and the verbs", they're telling the story and not treating it as secondary to their schmacting or "mood".
  21. Those crazy "I will CUT you" eyes. Meanwhile, I'm so glad she's on Instagram. I enjoy following her lovely Fairfield existence. At the time it was still Port Charles which made me wonder. Scrapping a two year-old very ABC soap with a direct connection to their flagship soap for a cancelled P&G soap still in that treacherous timeslot smack dab against the first half hour of Y&R... oof, all so risky.
  22. Is this the set at 2:40?
  23. Wow, I never knew such a lineup existed. It is kuh-razy. EXACTLY. G-d forbid someone younger should know more about a particular subject.
  24. I was in an arts magnet program in high school and one of our freshman year projects was to create our own sitcom or soap opera. Our teacher taught us that one of the tenets of soap opera was that the word bitch was never used. This was 1994, and I was the soap "expert" in class like, "No! Where have you been!? I have certainly heard bitch on multiple occasions!" Meanwhile, I was miffed that she showed Seinfeld instead of Martin and Y&R instead of AMC when we watched examples in class. The saving grace was that it was a Jill-heavy episode. But yeah, she fought me and insisted that bitch was never uttered.
  25. So apparently my friend Mundy was on Potomac (we also live in Montgomery County) singing the other night. The ladies went to an open mic or something? Only saw a screenshot on Facebook.
