  1. I loved this promo campaign, OLTL had some great ones too. The music always reminded me of this classic commercial: Erica's, "I could kill you!" was of course foreshadowing the little incident with the letter opener. Same. When she was on Swan's, I referred to her as "the Erica" of that show. Such a pleasant surprise to read in my mother's SOD that she'd been cast on AMC. Had no idea what was in store. In hindsight, I can hardly believe how clueless I was about Kendall being Erica's daughter. I remember watching with my grandfather the scene where Mona helps Kendall fix her necklace and Kendall pulls up her hair to reveal a birthmark on the back of her neck. Mona made a concerned look and I asked my grandfather what that was about and he offered that the birthmark might be cancerous (!!!).
  2. Who died? Tom? Fell behind in my viewing.
  3. The first time I heard Dorian (Robin Strasser) mention that she was a doctor was when she and Cassie had that run-on the staircase at Llanfair, Cassie's fall leading to her miscarriage. IIRC, they did mention her being a doctor during the DID s/l. She flexed some of her medical knowledge later on. I totally forget who it was, Todd, Patrick, (someone involved with Blair) who needed an operation. Dorian consulted with a doctor friend, telling Blair that the procedure was going to cost, "a quarter of a million."
  4. I can hardly wait to see her.
  5. Yes, we were talking about it over in the AMC thread:
  6. I always thought that was weird, like, who's named Billy? Was it really Harlan William and Billy a nickname for him and his son?
  7. Ooohhhh I need to go back and watch that earlier Penny mischief. Lol they played that damn song so much I began to wonder if it actually charted back in the day. Thanks so much for sharing!
  8. Robert Newman will be replacing Dick Shoberg in Perfect Crime on Broadway.
  9. Rabbit bite, oof, lol. How long has Julia Duffy been with the show at this point? I know she wasn't the original Penny. It seems I saw her name in the credits long before I ever saw her on the show. I may have just missed her but I get the impression she was written out for a bit while she was with her father in California? Martha and that bourbon-soaked voice, lol. Very Tallulah.
  10. Was Zach a Scientologist? I hope they weren't trying to make Erica look more like Alexis styling her hair like that.
  11. And oof, Three's a Crowd was a stinker. I have a place in my heart for the cast but... nah.
  12. Interesting, thank you. I'm glad that she'll still be appearing in the reruns for a good while. I remember reading that in Waggett's book of lists, that she was part of a coven.
  13. Funny what you don't remember, I watched WTB? faithfully but don't recall PD coming on right after it.
  14. That's awesome! I wonder what were the circumstances of leaving TD and heading to GH.
  15. Whoops, re: Steve and Annie, Althea just answered my question about their past.
  16. I certainly remember it from the '80s/'90s, maybe early '00s. I can see the set in my head but I don't remember what was that last event. The yacht club seemed to take its place/purpose. Not sure if the Inn was around in the '70s. I still have it on tape somewhere, like I literally recorded it with a camcorder off of the TV lol, but it was a memorable episode at the Inn around '95/'96. All of the rich characters (Phoebe, Palmer, Marian, Enid, Adam, Erica, nouveau Tad) had gathered to elect a man of the year IIRC, and Adam sways the crowd that it should be Erica.
  17. That's so lovely Amy. Have you reached out to Anna? I wonder if she's been watching at all. I really hope someone sent Susan Lucci a link to her featured extra appearance, I imagine she never expected to see that again. Do Steve and Annie end up having a fling? It certainly feels like that's where they're headed. I can't compare AA to the previous Mikes besides the last one, but was the character always such a hothead? AA definitely has that intense Methody post-Brando New York actor thing going on. So Mike raped Toni and that's how Michael Paul was conceived? :wow: During their conversation in today's episode they mentioned he was conceived by force. Yikes.
  18. Yeah, the waitresses wore little Playboy Bunny-esque fox ears and tails. He wasn't on for long, only a few episodes. He read older than MBJ, I think the whole Jack adoption s/l would have been less believable with CB in the role.
  19. I didn't realize Mike and Alan are cousins. Maybe it's just in my market, but have any of you noticed how LOUD RetroTV is compared to other channels? I scramble for the remote to turn down the volume before the orchestra rings out the opening theme. No shade intended but I wonder if it's purposely loud given the presumably older viewership.
  20. I get so tickled watching that little schemer Penny. You can see where Newhart's Stephanie got her roots. It also kind of blows my mind when I think of Lucinda as Stephanie's mother. I wonder if Julia and Liz have kept in touch over the years, would love to see them reunited in something. Between TD and the occasional Petticoat Junction rerun, good grief, were those of you who were around back then driven batty by all those musical interludes??
  21. AA reminds me of Brando a bit in terms of looks.
  22. Oh I can hardly wait to see that! I haven't seen Marilyn on TV in years but I certainly remember her well-maintained face pushing her goods when I was a teen. I thought it was SO random when her name popped up during the Cunanan/Versace story when Lee was murdered in their Chicago home. I saw her on HSN/QVC (?) not long after that and the hosts and callers were offering their condolences. Tom Wiggin will be appearing in The Great Society at Arena Stage in D.C. http://www.arenastage.org/shows-tickets/the-season/productions/the-great-society/
  23. My watching is relatively new and spotty, can you believe last night was the first time I saw Julia Duffy as Penny? About how old is she here? Anyone else really love the theme? I hear it in my head a couple times a day, I also like the later wocka wocka version with the character portraits.
  24. I loved that show, watched every week. Judith and William had great chemistry and I seem to remember the young female lead being quite good (as was her neurotic balding brother).
  25. I would have found it plausible that Dr. Lazarre impregnated her and Erica had another niece or nephew out there. Much more believable than the unabortion or even Eric "selling" his daughter.
