Today is the one year anniversary of Bridget Dobson's death. How did that fly by?

Hard agree. Also co-sign. My dream is someone casting Sarah with Tamara Braun as sisters, both powerful. You have me at a distinct disadvantage. Obviously Beth said something that I have NO Clue what the hell it was. I only knew about the egregious things that Pratt said and did. So here I am, looking stupid.

Well, to me, the person with the problem in that situation at AMC, wasn't Beth Ehlers, no, it was Chuck Pratt. He had promised a pairing of Beth & Ricky Paull Goldin, which he proceeded to renege on, so Beth had a legitimate beef. Martinez just was unfortunately caught in the middle.

Basically agree about our favorite little narcissist. Realistically, I did not think the show was going to kill Sonny today. But a girl can dream! Totally agree about Charlotte mewling "pahpah". Give it up, I want to hear DAD or in a pinch,, Valentin. Drew can go suck eggs. Anna was way out of bounds about her grandchild. Crossed a line.

I'm just gonna put this out there. Do I employ the stratagem "Just keep strolling on" Yes, of course I do, also been known to recommend it. Other stratagems vary from place to place. Whether it is Block or Ignore or Mute, I use them all. But on occasion, not very often, I say to myself, This is such an uncomfortable situation, maybe I could defuse it with humor. Obviously high risk since it could be a flop.

I'm back! Santa Barbara, this is how it breaks down. Only one Kelly & she is Robin Wright. Second verse, only one Mason & he is Lane Davies. Zimmer there, her whole family was disliked. Mary Beth Evans when they tried at GH to tap into the popularity of Kayla & Steve, first thing they did wrong. They had Stefan accidentally shoot her, not a good beginning. Anyway it wasn't an epic failure but it certainly was nobody's idea of a success. Genie has been very clear. From her perspective at least, all these shows wanted to hire her & they promised her whatever they could think of to entice her. To be fair they did create characters for her but she said they would never really write the stories for her that they should have. She gave the example where at DAYS when she got fed up & announced her intention to leave THEN FINALLY they had a fire lit under them but inho it was too late. Steve Burton at DAYS. Largely his Michaels Harris was unpopular. For one thing no one cared a lick about this Harris guy leftover from the 80s. Next up, the perception (correct or not) was that Burton had to be paid royally & that would be money not being paid to actors & characters that DAYS fans thought belonged on the show. He had a contract when many popular people did not. Also people thought they're making him an ex Navy seal, was just a little too cute? hero? Etc. But, to give credit where it is due, he & Tamara Braun worked hard, dug deep & their pairing to me at least was a success. BTW, TB herself is not without problems where many fans just do not accept her & she also has those problems of perception about the big bucks & also that she's taking up space where someone more popular & thought to be more integral to the canvas could be in that space.

I kinda really like this premise. And, now, here we go or possibly said another way, on with the show! Oh, absolutely, Greens was definitely well-liked. Her whole family was even in the ranks of those "popular" people. Her grandparents probably best liked & had been for the longest time. Then Greens herself. Now it's not like she was much beloved like Bianca was. Her parents were more of an acquired taste. Anna Stuart's Mary Smythe (if I'm remembering her name right) anyway, I'm sure some people found her to be acerbic but I found her delightful. Yes, she was another snob but she was still fun & definitely messy when it came to her relationships with most of the people she could claim to have one with. Greens with Leo both made me happy, and challenged me & eventually broke my heart. Now some people disliked Greens for no better reason than that she dubbed our sweetheart LesBianca. Me, I thought it was funny. BTW, recently during the time that AW's 60th anniversary was being celebrated, Anna spoke about her time at AMC & according to her Susan Lucci would have preferred it if Anna disappeared from Lucci's sight. I have no idea what to say about that, so I'll stop.

Ratings from the 70's
Well, of course, as we know from this side of the show's now long history that day Bill Bell was wrong with a capital W & CBS happened to be totally 100% correct, with a capital C. My favorite book about Bill Bell is the one Lee had Michael J. Maloney write. Although I also gleaned a tremendous amount of information about him (and so many others, too) in Maureen Russell's DAYS book.

I found it to be rather galvanizing. But, at the same time, I was in the process of ordering a pizza from Papa John's. Spicy Garlic Stuffed Crust. Some fans were saying that Lulu is demented. I replied that if she was then she's always been this way. But, did you not love it when Alexis slammed the door in her face? I know that I liked that, actually quite a bit. But, this is a pretty. old show.

Joecool, I never knew about that. In a way it was probably good for him to have to struggle. But, I bet at that moment he was terrified.

Surely you knew it didn't start at the top?!! And, don't you remember when CBS forced the show to go to an hour that Bill Bell revealed that the show lost 4 full rating points & it took 3 years just to regain what was lost.

For me it's voices, too. Tamara Tunie speaks & there's a possibility that I might just melt, which is also the case when Karla Moseley speaks, as well, so two rich bitches, mother & daughter & me hanging on their every word, every nuance, every change in tone, maybe throw in some sarcasm.

ALL: What are your lost soap media "holy grails" for 2025?
Speaking of Robin Strasser does anyone have any idea why last year she just up & moved to Cleveland?
