Sorry, all this is just my recall of what was posted & in articles at the time. I'll see if I can come up with a link to an article at the time. What I recall is a kind of a competition between a Claire Labine soap (Union Place), Spelling's soap (Sunset Beach), a Stephen J. Cannell soap (lawyers, I think) & if there was a 4th one I do not recall anything about its identity. The set-up supposedly where the affiliates were made a part of the process was the annual meeting with them.

Almost immediately she tells us she sells information to the highest bidder. She continues & claims that she's not into murder. Somehow a lot of people get killed. Anyway, I am thoroughly enjoying it. I hope I'm not repeating myself.

Now you've hit on the one question about Drew that I have thus far found no answer, at least not a suitable one. Is Drew a sleazy scuzzball? Or is Drew a scuzzy sleazeball? This is what they've reduced us to with this character.

Metaphorically at least, this is what we as soap fans are stuck with. However, it wasn't always like this. I remember when dialogue not only made sense but it answered questions that the audience needed to know about. We've got a fracking lot of things to be hollering about!!! Drew is at least near the vicinity of #1 thing to holler about. I mean, GMAB, this man said that Drillow will be the new Luke & Laura. I basically fell out of my chair, landed on the floor, rolled around laughing so hard till I couldn't catch my breath. Who knew he is going for The Drew WhateverHisNameIsThisWeek Comedy Hour?

You see, NBC let their affiliates decide between 3 or 4 shows. Of course they chose the Beach. NBC letting their affiliates make such a relatively important decision. OY.

Since I was not personally excited about PASSIONS, then I guess for me it was SUNSET BEACH. But I'm not sure when PC came on. At any rate PC was the last show I was personally very very excited about.

You join just hordes of fans who are asking, "Where the frack is all the money that Ava had on her own, before the blasted Cassadine divorce settlement?!" I would add, though, that a few things that Marty said would seem to be of importance. First, he said that Nik misused some Cassadine money that he shouldn't have had access to in the first place. Then he mentioned these Greek guys who seemed to be some kind of leadership over the Cassadine inheritance. Last he reminded us that the Cassadines do not give a flip about eldest living son, which is why Nik is not he & now suddenly Ace is. (That part is sheer GH. IRL there is no way that would happen.) We did see Brennan tell Colette, "You know what to do." But somehow I still resist. I wondered if Colette was working on her own, outside of orders. I have to admit though that this could be only because I do not like Colette. And, the rest, I agree.

If that was said then it was an error. I have absolutely never done such a thing. If I am wrong about something, I freely acknowledge it. There is no reason not to. Everyone is wrong sometimes. It's not a big thing. I am not somehow overinvested in being right. As a matter of fact, I would always choose good communication over insisting on being right. Now I hope this clears this up.

I am so horrified at the level of dysfunction between Charlotte and her "pahpah". If Valentin had the stones to do it he should take Charlotte to the nearest airport & put her on a plane headed to Lulu. But, with today being a day of celebrating awful people doing awful things, Dante wins the award for playing the Sam card!!! Talk about nerve.

Susan, Julie, David, poor little baby Dickie, all of that was literally the first DAYS storyline I remember the whole thing. If it were available, I would watch it over immediately! I loved it so and "dead baby" scarred me for life.
