I was personally startled to see "Addie II". For 2 reasons, the one you mention, that these kids of Ciara & Ben's shouldn't have these names & because on the recaps I go by in writing detailed summaries of the early shows, Addy is spelled Addy, not Addie. So, I am guessing that the recaps are wrong & I need to change the spelling I use. @JAS0N47do you think we should go with the spelling that was just shown by you in the official pictures of the Horton ornaments? Addie instead of Addy? Well, now you have totally sold me on your take. It always annoys me when people say that Kristen is basically all used up because of course, she shouldn't be. And, Stacy is a very able body when it comes to playing Kristen and Susan Banks, both of them. (But not Sister Mary Moira) It's a crying shame that Kristen is not being written properly. Rachel, of course, is soap opera gold. That little one is as good as Carrie was & she arguably has a tougher job. I think about the scenes that Eric and Stacy submitted last year for Emmy consideration & know that the show could be doing more, better.

According to AWHP, these were the relevant HW credits: Harding Lemay, September 12, 1988 - November 10, 1988 Donna Swajeski, November 1988 - November 1992 As usual, there is no mention of the WGA strike. But we know it was a 1988 strike. BTW, Pete did not like the name Harding. He did like Pete. Of course, all official documentation has to say Harding. (whether he liked it or not) If I recall correctly Swajeski crossed over from the network & of course they would tend to have a bias in favor of anyone who had been with the network at some time.

I didn't take it as one either. I really feel like Robt & Scott both ended up where they were best suited to be. I wonder who was the Casting Director at that time. Jordan Clarke is a wonder, amazing player, and in a pinch he will come through for anyone, anywhere, whatever role he is given. I firmly believe that he is one of the best GL has to offer. Of course RN is no slouch either. He put up with being second fiddle for all those years. It's a wonder he could even breathe. Kim won all the awards. He was always there, keeping her place warm. Those people, the scene partners to the winners have a thankless job. But, at least they have a job, right?

Ava & Sam?! What an idea. I cannot imagine it. It's true that Lucas & Ava, the Jerome connection, works, as it should. I just think he needs to be with Spencers. Carly for one. Joss for another. He is the Bobby legacy. He's a doctor & he's at the hospital. I don't like Brad stalking him. But on the whole, I am very enamored of him as Lucas. I even got where he was coming from in his attack on Willow & Drew. Although, clearly, that should have been Michael! And, we all know it.

I keep looking at the fact that Lucas shares most of his scenes with Ava & I know they're putting them together because of the ATWT connection. And, I think that is lame. I'm not sure but I think you've just named every single thing that went wrong with AW at the end. Many stalwart & loyal fans departed with the grotesque murder of Frankie Frame. Race car driver with Ryan's corneas, my god what were they thinking? Then Michael Malone decided to use his bible for the show that didn't get a greenlight, Bourbon Street 13, gave us Shane & Lila & yes, identical twins who looked nothing alike & were two totally different heights!!! When I think about the fact that we could've had Ellen Wheeler playing both parts, it drives me a little bit crazy. Trying to get from one day to the next, Susan D. Lee torturing fans, it boggles the mind.

Well, when he's back maybe you'll see it differently. Of course, maybe not. But that is the reason for no recast. It's the only thing that makes any kind of sense. Of course, this is only an opinion. Jill, of course, took her mandate very seriously. In her first 3 days at the show she fired 3 people. One of them was Christine Tucci, who happened to be engaged to Paul Michael Valley & he was royally pissed so he said he was quitting. Now any good EP would have known he was just mad & would have given him a day or two to cool off. Not Jill, no, she said, GREAT, I'll kill off his character & that is how AW lost Ryan, totally avoidable & Ryan was perfect for Anne Heche. Later Jensen's Vicky had some lovely scenes with Ryan in heaven.

Of course that would have been the most likely time for them to start pushing that, with DAYS being the only soap to have ratings go up during the OJ time period. AW got Jill in that infamous exec swap where P&G moved each EP over one soap. I believe her mandate was to cut the size of the cast & make it younger. The only thing about asking AI is they inevitably get something very wrong. In this case it was thinking that Rocky was a Cory. He wasn't. His surname was Olson. And, he was Rachel's stable master. I think his intro line was to Rachel telling her that the horses were saddled for Miss Amanda & Master Matt to take their daily ride.

Well, P&G defies explanation. I mean, it could have gone on for some more years. Shapiro was deadly serious about wanting it. And, I don't see any reason why it couldn't have been on ABC. i have no idea what P&G was thinking. Shapiro was a mover & a shaker. She got things done. Maybe P&G was just tired. They'd been fighting NBC for so many years.

Well, Angela Shapiro wanted AW. No one knows where they'd have put it on their lineup but she approached P&G, wanting to acquire it. Some said they would have run it at the end of the day, having 5 shows like they did with EON. Others say they'd have cut it to a half hour & run it in place of PC. It's all moot since P&G said NO.
